This park was amazing! The owner Miss Denise and her staff does everything to make your stay wonderful. Very reasonable price, bath house is always clean. Lots of things to do on the weekend and peaceful during the week.

As described by previous reviewers, there is plenty of shade and a nice playground but that is really it unless you have a boat. The campground was full of seasonal RV's all blocking the views of the water. Management/Owner was terrible. She was not there on our arrival and sent someone else to provide keys and our 3 campsites I had rented for extended family. We stayed 3 days while management came by once, late the 2nd day, to check and see if everything was okay. I saw her in the office on morning of checkout but when we had finished packing she was nowhere to be found and another note to call someone else. We left with full intentions of calling and making a payment by phone (they don't do that by the way). On the way home, my phone had died and I couldn't call. When I had checked my messages she accused me of running out on her. I owed $150 bucks to her. Not exactly a make or break me amount, but she still thought it would be best to call and insult me before asking how I enjoyed the stay and if I could mail in a check. Read my email response to her voicemail message.... "It is not my fault you were not there upon our arrival or upon our departure. If you needed to leave Monday morning you could have stopped by or better yet, you could have come by Friday afternoon after you returned to see if we needed to know anything and were satisfied . I had cash on hand all weekend but now I am inconvenienced again by you and have to take the time and write a check and pay for postage and mail it. I wasn't talking time from my family to try and chase you down. I really don't even want to pay you now because of your accusations of myself and my family. Your voicemail was rude and out of line. You are the one that wasn't in your office and now you are going to insult me.You could have come by and introduced yourself thanked us for coming and see if we needed anything. Myself and my brother never were able to reach you when we wanted to. Customer service is a huge part of what you do and you provided my family with none. Plus you sorry ass security guard came by at 10:30 and rudely told us the kids needed to be quite when quite time started at 11:00. The trashy people in front of our lot screamed,hollered, shouted profanities and blasted music till well past midnight Friday and Saturday nights. I never saw the guard come by and say something to them. So I guess it's okay if the seasonal people do it,but not just a family that gets together a couple of times a year." The grounds didn't even have any grills that could be used for a medium size to large cookout She didn't care to call or respond to my email and offer an apology and this is why I am leaving such a negative review. If you are a tent camper or are looking for a quite place with the sounds of nature; go to Buck's pocket or the State park. Pathetic customer service here and only the seasonal people that they let trash up their grounds are provided any service! I have paid the bill but will not go back My family all agreed that this was not the spot to do it again. I hope this helps some other family before they pick a place I wasn't comfortable letting my kids run around in by themselves.

Nice place with nice people! This is a big park with lots of shade and spots right next to the lake. Don't follow Google maps to the park via Cotton Rd though - we ended up in a spot we almost couldn't escape!
