Stopped in one day and needed pair of dressier jeans for an event the next day and was in a rush. Owner was very helpful, asking what style I was looking for and picking out several pairs for me to try on (nearly all of which were very flattering). If you're looking for cheap clothes, this is probably not the place. But, if you're looking for excellent service, sound style advice, and local flair, Rock on Main is it.

Good selection of locally themed clothes, clearance has some bargains. However, my service experiences with Rock on Main have been quite poor. Their return policy is short, restrictive, and limited to store credit. And all clearance is final sale - which isn't that unusual, but when 14 days with tags on is the full return policy...it seems pretty harsh. If you have brands that fit differently than most your return policy matters. Additionally, personal service was equally poor. It's one thing to talk on phone while a customer is in, another to gossip while a customer is waiting. Also, eating strongly odored food doesn't exactly aid the shopping experience. Thirdly, calling a customer 'kiddo' is rude if they are 14, and downright insulting if said to someone out of college. If you sell clothing for young professionals, try not to sound patronizing when one comes through the door. And picking a fight over the correct way to hand a quarter to another person after they've bought something is simply tactless. That took a variety of unexamined frustrations to the point of sourness. I generally like to support local shops, as I appreciate the uniqueness and community they bring. Alas, when that local shop treats you with pointed disdain rather than the neutral automation of a Walmart - I would rather go for the big box. Nordstroms can sell me the same clothes with far better service.
