This was a decent motel room for a friendly price. The room was a bit small, but adequate. It was pretty clean, though it seemed as though the maids didn't vacuum the room after the previous guest(s) took their leave. The air conditioner kicked butt! Which, I have found, is a rarity for a "budget" motel. The location of the place was pretty great... a very short walk to some great restaurants and bars. The staff, on each encounter, were pleasant and hospitable. Overall, if you want a good nights sleep on a comfy-ish bed without making your bank account cry, this seems to be the place to go in Berkeley.

Call them directly in order to get a better rate than online. If you book online the option to pay cash is taken away and your c.c. will be charged. The manager i spoke with when checking in said the online services where "A@# holes!" Because they take 10 or 20% cut. The room I stayed at was very dirty, stained couch, walls had cracks on them. Molding was falling off. Very dirty carpet! Don't walk barefooted! (See photos) If some one smokes outside, it will penetrate into your room despite having the window and door closed. it made the room stink for a while. Breakfast is just coffee and very light snacks. I won't stay at this place again

The rooms are small and a little dated, but clean. It's cheap though, so it's pretty decent for the price. Walking distance from a handful of convenient things around Berkeley (late night food, etc). There's not enough parking, and some rude people may park you in. Additionally, while I was there there were smokers outside the door of the non-smoking rooms I was in and their smoke invaded the rooms.

Room was mostly fine, but the bathroom door could not shut completely. The offer of a free continental breakfast was a nice addition. Overall, for the price I paid, I suppose it was sufficient.

Terrible the room smelled like cigarettes room service left my pillows on the floor!!!! Even worse I found five bed bugs on my bed. I do not recommend this place at all.
