Never been there before still excellent to see about base history.

We were here to see our nephew graduate from naval BMT, we were routed through the museum while in process to be seated. It was an informative and definitely made the wait easier. Would have liked to look around the base and see elsewhere but we were told that wasn't possible. We have been to many Air Force Bases but never a Naval Base It was however a great experience and one that will not be forgotten.

Visited the RTC Museum during my daughters Navy Basic graduation. It was very interesting to learn a little about Navy history and the RTC's role in shaping today's Navy. Coming from an Army guy...its a nice place.

Today, October 28, 51 years ago, I entered the gates at Great Lakes. After a long train ride from Cleveland, OH, my new home at Camp Barry, then to Camp Moffat, then Porter. I will never, ever forget Great Lakes and how it changed by life as the simple young kid from Cleveland, OH. My Company Commander, MM1 Gary Muzingo of Company 643 molded us into an "machine" of men to serve. It proved out many years later. Thank You Great Lakes, thank you. FORCM(SW) Thomas J.
