This being a Safeway, and nobody visibly in charge, there's nothing to do after a series of bad experiences but the catharsis of a review. I normally shop before work and recently this store has started doing massive stocking of shelves during early open hours, not just the early morning straightening (I experienced this most recently 7:55 a.m. on Saturday 5/5). While this is going on the aisles are largely are unnavigable.  Product is strewn about the floor, presenting a real trip hazard to those of us with impaired vision.  Powered pallet jacks, moving quickly, have forced me on one occasion to jump into a side aisle.  This morning the store had a fair number of customers trying to shop while all this was going on.  There was one checkstand open with seven or eight people in line.  For about 10 minutes we got to listen to the checker complain about having to soak her sore feet (I feel you) and how much alleve she had to take.  Having had enough, a fellow 2 spaces behind me complained rather loudly to a passing employee.  The checker seemed to take this as a personal challenge and things really s l o w e d down.  After I finally got through checking out, I was waiting for my receipt, but she had already started talking to the next customer. I asked for my receipt and had the pleasure of receiving a snarky comment as I walked away.  I understand this is probably an unpleasant job at an unpleasant hour in the morning, but fortunately there are several nearby options that are run more professionally, and I'll be patronizing them in the future.

One of McMinnville's better grocery markets. But really only if you have yourself a club card. If not it'll give the feeling of being a bit over priced. Unless you go in on a "$5 Friday" which is such a great weekly promotion.
 Pretty much all the departments are easy to navigate and the staff are extremely kind and eager to assist you in your grocery needs. Their Pop bottle return area is always in need of some sort of matinence and consistently dirty. That would be my one criticism but other than that, they are a perfectly good grocery store.

Safeway deli Chinese food is above average. Thoroughly enjoy the hot and spicy chicken but I caution on this food..  it is very spicy.  It has tremendous flavor but the heat builds as you eat before you know it your mouth is on fire. Still worth eating!!!

I should of done my shopping here when i first moved to this area. This stores prices are more reasonable & %100 more doable for my strict budget. My bicycle is much safer here than on 82nd. My meds,food & cat stuff all in one place. Considering how long this store has been around. It is still kept clean. Love the folk that work there. I oddly look forward to shopping when i go there. That Safeway is the place for me!!! Thanku

I love this Safeway store!  There is one closer to my house but this one is my happy place.  It is an anchor of the Woodstock neighborhood, has a great team in the deli and well stocked organic produce.  It doesn't hurt that my favorite ice cream store is around the corner. Parking is easy too!
