I LOVE MY HAIRCUT! Amber Mellon is amazing. This was not my first time going to Vanity Ambello, and it certainly will not be my last. I am a very picky person when it comes to cutting my hair. I do not trust everyone, but I do trust in Amber always getting it right. And this is not just a place you go to get a haircut. Amber provides an experience that leaves you with a sense of autonomy, confidence, and authority. The second I arrived I was greeted with a smile and a drink chosen from a variety of refreshment options—needed after a 12-hour graveyard shift. Her private room is clean, relaxing, and beautifully decorated. Truly a place to treat yourself to. I received more than a great haircut, hair wash, and a neck massage—I received great company from Amber. She is such a sweet, humble, and intelligent person. All these make for the perfect experience, and it is very easy to find, and lots of parking. THANK YOU, AMBER, FOR ALWAYS KEEPING ME FLY!

Amber has been cutting my hair for months and now that she has her own salon I couldn't be happier.  She worked so hard to give me what I asked for until I realized that her styling for me was better.  She's so talented, she can do it all!  Even my friends commented on the "good cut".  Thanks!

If you're looking for a great cut and terrific service at an affordable price, you can't beat Vanity Ambello.

When I moved to Chapel Hill for grad school, I was looking for a place to get a quality cut at a fair price. I tried a few different places, and I wasn't satisfied. Then I went to Vanity Ambello and I knew I'd found my place. Amber did an amazing job with the cut (which comes with getting hair washed and neck massaged), giving me exactly what I asked for. Coffee and beer are offered complimentary - YES! Plus, Amber's so nice and easy to chat with that the whole experience was great. At just $25, you can't beat it.

My husband’s tried a few places in the area, but nothing beats the haircut he got at Vanity Ambello. I told him he’s got to go back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great men’s cut.

I booked a 5pm appt with Amber.  I got there at 5:02 and she said she was finishing with a customer and would be a couple of minutes.  15 minutes later she's still shampooing him, so I stepped up and asked her if I could go get food and be back in 10-15 mins (I live in the apartment complex above the salon).   She said that was completely fine.  I walked back in 10 mins later and she has another customer in the chair and tells me that they had a 5:30 appt, so that was priority.  She said she wanted "to tell you not to go when you left,"  but I find that hard to believe since I deliberately asked her before leaving for 10 mins, to which she answered I should go.  She was extremely unprofessional and as I walked out I could hear her telling her current customer lies about the situation that had just occurred.  I will definitely not be using or recommending her services to anyone.
