MISSION
Sampson County Animal Shelter humanely shelters lost, stray or unwanted companion animals in accordance with applicable state and local regulations. With our partners and supporters, we promote companion animal adoptions and responsible pet ownership.

DESCRIPTION
The Sampson County Animal Shelter is a department of Sampson County Local Government. Our facility houses stray, homeless, quarantined, seized, abandoned or unwanted animals. It is operated by Sampson County Local Government in accordance with applicable state laws, local ordinances, and departmental policies and procedures.

GENERAL INFORMATION
This is the OFFICIAL Facebook page for Sampson County Animal Shelter. It is maintained to showcase the many wonderful, adoptable animals housed at SCAS and to promote their adoption, so we encourage friends of the page to visit often and freely share the photographs and information found here to help us place animals in loving, responsible homes. Here are some simple guidelines for posting on our page:
1.) Please limit your comments to information pertinent to specific adoptions. If you are interested in adopting one of our animals or have general information for shelter staff, please contact the shelter by phone or by email at [email protected]. We appreciate the assistance of bona fide rescue organizations who post their willingness to take our animals, and we encourage such organizations to complete the necessary paperwork to partner with us at SCAS. Often pledges are made to assist these organizations. Unfortunately, we are not able to track or collect pledges to these organizations on this page. Friends who wish to pledge to assist a rescue organization or an individual with a foster or an adoption should contact the rescue organization or individual. Please do not post pledges on this facebook page.

2.) Postings must not contain vulgar language, personal attacks of any kind, or offensive comments which target or disparage any ethnic, racial or religious group.

3.) Postings must not include spam, infringe on copyrights or trademarks, or promote particular services, products, or political organizations. Sampson County may include links to other third party sites for reference or information in our postings. Sampson County does not endorse any non-government websites, companies or applications.
