I've always thought Santa Fe Reds could use a little sprucing up over the years and slowly I'm starting to take notice of some subtle changes being made. I frequent your restaurant about once or twice a month and tend to sit on the patio or in the window room. Yesterday my friends and I opted for the window room and to my surprise the layout has been wonderfully switched up, to where I felt it was a brand new space! I couldn't believe how much more open and inviting it felt to be in there. It was wonderful and a perfect setting to enjoy fantastic margaritas, cold beer, and great company!! As always our lunch was delicious and your waitstaff so friendly and efficient. Santa Fe Reds is truely a hidden gem!

They let us sit outside and the view was very beautiful. The staff were very nice and helpful. The food was great

Poor service, slow kitchen, expensive, decent food, great patio. Arrived to eat at 2:30 on a Sunday with a group of seven. The restaurant was empty - just one family leaving and another family out on the patio. Yet it took 15 minutes and some staff arguing among themselves to get the table ready for us. Then another 15 minutes before the waitress took our drink order (3:00) and warned us that the kitchen was out of a lot of menu items. We told her that some of our group needed to leave for the airport around 4 and she said that wouldn't be a problem. Another 15 minutes (3:15) and she came with our drinks and took our food order. Shortly after this the other family out on the patio made a scene and left - they had been waiting so long for their food that they gave up and left (without their meals!). Not a good sign. About 3:35 our food showed up (so actually pretty quick after ordering.) But some of it wasn't right (wrong meat, wrong side, etc) but we didn't have time to get that fixed. The food was fine, not great but not bad either. But $13 for a mediocre burrito is crazy. The final problem was that the kid's tacos were so spicy that the kids couldn't eat them. Their mom said that they were even too spicy for her (and she was visiting from Texas and loves spicy mexican). Who makes kids meals super spicy? But the patio was great with great weather, so 2 stars. But it will be a long time before we return. Too bad because years ago this was one of our favorite places to eat.

Absolutely horrible service, horrible margaritas, old, disgusting food, screwed up the entire order, brought the wrong drinks, wrong tab, and never apologized. Terrible experience, not the first time, I will never be back. If you want good Mexican, look anywhere but here.

Used to be great - I've been coming here since the late 90s and had a good bearing on the menu and flavors; we would even bring it in for conferences and events at work. Lately the menu changed a lot and the food is not very spicy, flavorful or interesting. Tonight they asked if I wanted the hotter salsa and I said "yes" and then they returned and said they didn't make any today....??? Had to remind the servers of forgotten items and send a dish back that was half prepared. They took the sopapillas off the menu, too - a cardinal sin for a Mexican restaurant....
