Very professional. Explain everything. Did not leave out nothing. Up to date . Talk to me . Been there for me when I needed help explain a restraining order instructions on it. Nothing wasn't missed . I did not get the silence treatment . Didn't have to wait for reply back. Officer was on top of it all. Only thing is they didn't have up date copy of my restraining order on file according to there records she was not served . I explained she was served I had to up date them papers from court she was served . Other than that every thing was handled in a timely manner. Up to promp Courtsey mellow quiet calm way there mannerisms I had the up most respect for ty Kristen

I tried reporting that my purse was stolen and a few items were returned directly to my home because of my address being inside of my purse. I thought it was really odd, so when I called to report this, they left me on hold for almost 10 mins, then responded with "What do you want us to do about it?" I understand there is not much they can do but maybe suggest what I can do, to not only cancel my credit cards and changing my social security but suggestions I can do to protect myself, my family, and basically my identity! The person that I was on the phone with seemed not to care, does this mean people shouldn't report a purse or items they own stolen, because they can't do anything about it?

I am very disappointed of how things were handled in my case. A "Hit and run" accident, McClelland and Cook, January 21, 2018, around 2 pm. If anyone witnessed, please help me with information. I was left there, head injuries and I felt like dying. My son was with me. The great disappointment is because the police didn't arrest the individuals in the other car because none of them claimed to be the driver. They LET THEM GO! By now, they might have fled the city, the state, the country. The Santa Maria Police Department needs better trained and more efficient officers, including an operator who was very rude. Please, Chief Hansen, re-educate your staff and at the same time educate our community through public forums, in English and Spanish. We need to hear and see more positive things about your department. I hope the credibility of the Santa Maria Police Department can be re-established. I am a very concerned citizen of this city who is looking for justice; my life matters, I survived to tell my story...I hope my voice can be heard. Silence is not my choice. "Mi vida importa, sobreviví para contar mi historia...Espero que mi voz se escuche. El silencio no es my opción." Please update your Facebook and Police Page to indicate public photographers will be detained, searched and violated for simple photography from a public space. Travelers, tourists and residents should be aware of the ban on the First Amendment in the city of Santa Maria, prior to visiting.
