Bit of a one time thing for obvious reasons. And if you're not down with seeing what's essentially cool fish, this probably won't be your thing. But if you're open to the experience it's a great time. Facility is clean, everyone is friendly, they seem to care about their craft which was refreshing for someone visiting from one of the angrier parts of the country. We saw Nicole's presentation of a general broadcast feeding and a nice young lady named Jasmine lead us on a guided tour 'behind the scenes'. Both women were exactly what you'd want, engaging, fun, and informed, but not overbearing, dry in delivery, or seemed to be simply 'mailing it in'. The worst thing by any right were the goofy pictures at the beginning, but if you decide to not take yourself seriously for a whole 20 seconds you might just make it through. Money well spent. Life well experienced.

First time coming to this place. I got us (toddler and I) two regular admission tickets, and the Behind The Scenes tour, which displays the day-to-day running operations of the aquarium. The place has a variety of different species of turtles, fishes, rays, sharks, and more. They also have engagement activities throughout the tour, such as a stamp booklet which you have to fill as you go along the tour, for a final prize at the end of it all. As we paid for the Behind The Scenes tour, I was under the impression that we would get to see the fishes being fed (as my daughter enjoys to do so) and do something more engaging. In fact, the explain how they clean water, maintain equipment, go over breeding/rescuing animals, give you access to restricted areas, and how team members work together to keep the place running. Their Customer Service is exceptional. Place is clean, and fishes looked "happy."

So I have to give this Aquarium a two stars. And the only reason I’m giving it a two star is because by book definition it is an Aquarium and my child enjoyed the twenty minutes we spent or I’d give it a one star. This is one of the smallest Aquariums I have ever been. We went this weekend and drove two and half hours, which I don’t mind driving a long distance as long as it’s worth it. This is not, and especially is not worth the price. This Aquarium is so small you can walk slowly, look at everything and still be finished in twenty minutes. It’s so small even when there is barely any people there, it’s over crowded. The staff... the only people that were nice and seemed to enjoy their job was the people at ticket counter... so five stars to them. If you are already visiting the mall then maybe I would stop by but honestly it’s expensive to just stop by and I would never travel to this aquarium again. I would never classify this place as an actual aquarium, but like I said I guess by book definition it is. I am very disappointed in the visit. If you’re willing to travel I would recommend going to a different aquarium.

Fun place to visit. There are many types of sea creatures here to see and even some to touch. The Behind the Scenes tour is a neat way to see the stuff you normally would get to see at a place like this. It's located in the Concord Mills Mall, so you can leave to eat or shop and come back as long as they're still open.

Sea Life is fine (though very very small) and I’m grateful that Charlotte has an aquarium but I am from Southern California where aquariums are next level. My four year old’s favorite part was by far that she got to pet live starfish, which is the only interactive part with the animals. All of it is inside, and don’t go on Spring Break if you want to be able to walk at all and d so kids won’t literally be climbing on each other to see things. We went on Toddler Tuesday (discount day) during Spring break so maybe that’s my fault. Most of the time there aren’t crowds so that’s good.
