Decided to give Sears a try at changing the oil in our Toyota Corolla. Got the car back and discover that there is a very large leak in the oil system despite never having an issue with this before (and the vehicle barely has 60,000 miles on it and has had the oil changed every 3,000 miles since we purchased it new)... We take it back in and explain to them that we are concerned regarding a leak or the possibility that everything wasn't fastened back in properly with the amount of oil that has leaked on our driveway. They have the vehicle for approximately an hour and 20 minutes, call me and advise that everything is secure, but the oil needs to be replaced. Mind you, we just completed a Full Synthetic Oil Change the second week of December and have BARELY traveled over 2,500 miles since that time... I ask about a potential leak after arguing with the representative who told me it was due for an oil change based on the last oil change - which they should know they completed a full synthetic oil change since it was done AT THEIR LOCATION. So I am unsure why they are trying to tell me that I need ANOTHER oil change less than 3 months and only 2,500 miles later......... So I take it over to Toyota and they get under the vehicle to discover that Sears has cross-threaded the oil pan. It can no longer seal. Toyota attempted to rethread the oil pan as a courtesy, but it was so badly stripped, that it was not possible. I contacted Sears and explained what happened and was advised that the manager had "literally just left". I advised that he needs to give me a call by Monday morning or I will be contacting an attorney. The manager has yet to call me - asking his subordinates to contact me instead and advise that I need to bring the car in (a third time). Sears failed to complete a proper oil change, and then failed to find any issue with their work upon returning and advising of these major concerns. I made it abundantly clear that they will not lay a hand on my vehicle ever again and was met with rudeness and insincerity by the customer service representative, who is speaking on behalf of the manager and Sears themselves. They are refusing to pay for the repair, which is entirely their fault. This is absolutely the worst automotive service I have ever experienced. I will not be taking this vehicle or any other of our vehicles to Sears in the future.

I had to return a vacuum I had bought online and picked up in store. I walked in, scanned the bar code from the order confirmation email they sent me when I bought the vacuum, and then the vacuum popped up. A guy came out quickly, gave us a little receipt, told us to take that to any cashier to get our money back. He asked us why we were returning it, we told him we didn't like the attachment, he just said ok, sorry, and took it. Then, we took the little receipt to a cashier after shopping around for a while and she scanned it and returned our money. It was saying very easy and painless. Considering how much stuff you see about how Sears is the worst for customer service, it seems they are making a strong effort (at least locally) to have exemplary customer service.

My wife and I bought a pair of women's shoes at this Sears location at the Glenbrook Square Mall in Fort Wayne today. We waited in line for about 30 minutes because they only had 1 cashier for the entire store. Then, the cashier forgot to remove the ink tag, which we didn't realize until we got home. The problem is that we live an hour away from Fort Wayne, so it would be a 2 hour round trip to take the shoes back there just to have the ink tag removed. I tried taking it to 3 other stores where we live, and none of them had an ink tag key that would fit the one that is on my wife's shoes. Also, I tried calling customer service, but the person on the other end was foreign and couldn't understand what I was saying. The only email I could find for Sears is the "Sears International" email. We won't be returning to this store, unless that's the only way we can get the damn ink tag removed! This is probably why Sears is going out of business! Their customer service sucks!

This place is a joke. Hey Sears, I have a bright idea, how about u HIRE more then 1 technician-so that u don't inconvenience the CUSTOMER..... A PERSON WHO TOOK OFF WORK, so that she can have serviced the WASHER & DRYER-that she paid an arm & leg for!!!! And your EMPLOYEE that called to cancel my appointment, had an attitude. I'll take my business elsewhere in the future

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!! Lady that works in jewelry I think her name is Linda was very rude! she acted like she didn't want to help us or be there. She made smart remarks when I asked questions, she didn't smile or look us in the eye. No wonder why they're closing all the mangers are rude and don't care about their customers.
