My husband and I consider this place weekly for date night because of how good it is! We were lucky enough to get seated at the counter with a perfect view of them making soup dumplings. We were served complimentary tea and it was divine. We ordered the pork ribs and they were tasty but sadly mainly bones. The pan fried soup dumplings were excellent, so flavorful that we scarfed them down while they were still steaming hot but well worth it! Highly recommend drizzling the chili oil on them. For dessert we ordered their chocolate boa and we could’ve done without. Overall, we had a great time and can’t wait to come back and try more things!
This place is a very authentic Shanghai Chinese flavor you will eat. Pretty much everything is very very tasty. The restaurant is not that big and there will be a wait but it is worth the wait. It is also very clean and you can see the dumplings being made right when you walk in. The service is wonderful and everyone working there is very sweet and friendly. I have tried almost everything there. The best thing you should try is the traditional Xiao long bar the known soup dumpling. The broth is so rich from the meat and flavors. The duck was also amazing. They have this brown sauce they pour over that has a unique taste that I have not tasted anywhere else. I wish they would start selling that sauce as it would be good for a roast chicken at home. This place is a must try and I know you will be back.
One of the best Shanghai restaurants in the states. We visited the place before Christmas and the second day when the shooting incident happened. We are glad the staff is safe. The restaurant was open the second day of the incident and you could see what happened the day before. You can just pick anything from the menu and you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended!!!
A must try place for soup dumplings if you're in Las Vegas! Went here an hour after it opened on Friday and only had to wait for 10 minutes. We ordered the soup dumplings, pan fried dumplings, and beef noodle soup. Everything came out steaming hotso be careful when you take your first bite. The soup dumplings were very flavorful and the dough was thin, and not doughy. Pan-fried dumplings were fried just right and so much soup inside! Service was quick and friendly.
Amble parking by the restaurant, however, because there are many different restaurants and shops at this plaza it does get crowded. Staff wore masks and there is some social distancing enforced. Since I was solo dining, I was seated at the “bar” area where I could watch the cooks making the different type of dumplings. You order by writing/checking on the menu what you want. Service was fairly quick, but the food took awhile. Curry soup: first time trying it and can’t say I’m mad. It’s different but the taste was pretty good. Light enough to drink but flavored enough that you want more. The meat inside was super tender. Bean curd: looks like it would lack flavor, but it has a very nice light aroma to it. Very refreshing! Pork soupy dumplings: it was okay…not as much soup inside and to me the filling wasn’t as flavored. There are sauces on the table for you to make your dipping sauce. Soy sauce, vinegar and chili oil Would recommend coming with more people so you can sample more dishes. Oh, if you don’t like cilantro, please be mindful a lot of the dishes here use it. So remember to let the staff know.
This is another soup dumpling place that is located in the Shanghai Plaza that is along Spring Mountain Road. The interior is a bit more decorated. They have a good amount of staff that are friendly and attentive. We tried the regular and beef Angus soup dumplings. The beef ones had more flavor than the regular ones maybe it's because I am not use to it and were great. The house fried noodles and pan fried soup dumplings were excellent. The sweet and sour pork spare ribs were a bit too sweet for me. Overall, this is a solid place.
Best Shanghai cuisine at Las Vegas! After spending 3 weeks in USA, we wanted some freshly prepared & genuinely tasty well cooked meals. We sensationally enjoyed Shanghai Taste restaurant for lunch at Shanghai Plaza at Las Vegas. Delicious dumplings, seafood won-ton soup, yummy noodles & mouth-watering pork ribs…. Thank you Team Shanghai Taste & the service was great too! Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian soup & dishes. Kid-friendliness: Spacious quiet restaurant with friendly & helpful staff members. Parking: Plenty of parking. Wheelchair accessibility: One level for parking, footpath & restaurant entrance.
This is an authentic Shanghai noodle house. Good service and their own fried dumplings are very yummy! Love the fish wonton soup too: will definitely come back next time when I am in Vegas
The best soup dumplings in Las Vegas so far. I've been to many restaurants in and around Chinatown, and this one tops all. A whole in the wall as you would expect, but it well worth the wait. Didn't wait longer than ten minutes on a Saturday evening. Plenty of variety of soup dumplings to try from, and all the variations I had were excellent. The hot tea was a nice touch as well. You must try this place!
Love everything about this place. My friend and I sat by the bar area. We watch how the ladies made the Xiao long dumpling. They were also very interactive with us. We tipped the waiter and also all the ladies that made the dumplings. They're amazing.Food: 5/5
