I worked @ this hidden treasure all through high school. Don't let the outside deceive you! Everything is made from scratch (the sweet and sour chicken is hand dipped in batter, the sauces are made daily, the chow mein celery is chopped by hand...!) Trust me, people would drive an hour just for our chow mein. It has been around since the 70's, and while the original owners (my bosses) retired a few years back, it still maintains the menu they made. 10 years after high school, & it's still my favorite!

I've been going to Shangri-La since I was a kid. Now I bring my kids there. Always great food at affordable prices. Love their sweet & sour chicken and fried rice!

Best Fried Rice and sweet and sour anywhere.  Lots of chow mein. Not a fan of that anywhere.

So far, I've only had the subjum chow mein twice. It's so good!! I drove way out of my way to buy it the second time.

Some of the best chicken fried rice I've had. I have sampled chicken fried rice in multiple cities in China, and while it was super good there, it is excellent from here.
