Have you ever craved a stack of pancakes only to find out the restaurant stopped serving breakfast an hour ago? We shared these same frustrations, hence Short Stack Eatery was born! A convenient, late night, downtown location that never stops serving breakfast. Not only do we never stop serving breakfast, breakfast is all we serve. Who needs lunch or dinner when you can get breakfast all day, Thursday through Sunday?!

Really enjoyed our breakfast here on Saturday morning. I had Cajun Biscuits & Gravy with a side of roasted potatoes. The Cajun dish was just  spicy enough to warm me up. My partner had eggs, sausage links & potatoes. My Pear Mimosa was delightful (I could have had several!) but, I was driving. Partner's  25-ingredient Bloody Mary was outstanding! It had fresh beet overtones, a subtle tomato flavor, and tasted like the ingredients we're just plucked from the garden. Best Bloody I've ever sampled.
The only downside was the wait. We arrived at 9:45 am and stood in line (that went out the door) for a little over 30 minutes. I wished I had worn a warmer jacket. Next time I will be prepared!

Really fun. Nice people. Good service. Wait can be long at times. Sweet potato pancakes are the bomb. Prices a bit on the high side.

Best breakfast place in town. Amazing food! Great location. And owners who care about their community and invest in it! Dollars well spent and well invested in Madison.

Best blueberry pancakes I've ever had served with real maple syrup. The lines are crazy on Saturday mornings but a Thursday evening found us with plenty of seating choices. The service was quick and efficient. The atmosphere was light and decor was light hearted with movie quotes about breakfast on chalkboards.

Delicious on a Wednesday morning. 

We decided to go on a weekday morning to celebrate Valentine's and were happy to have the place nearly to ourselves. It was very enjoyable and super delicious. I highly recommend the sweet potato oatmeal pancakes. The burrito was pretty good, although it could have been better with some potato inside. It was very meaty! I loved that they support local companies such as Madison Sourdough and Jones Dairy Farm. So awesome! 

If you're going to go, try to get in early because it's packed on the weekends!
