So a woman literally breaks into a man's apartment, and the man is arrested on trumped-up charges from a previous arrest that was supposed to be off the books. The man tells the police to not let her stay at the apartment alone because she'll take everything. Then, while the man is in jail, the woman steals EVERYTHING from his apartment (right down to the used toothbrush, clothes, wallet, birth certificate, and passport) while police watch. And there's NOTHING anybody can do because she had been his girlfriend? The only reason I give the SVPD 2 stars is because the officers were very understanding and polite.

I'm a bit biased, having been a victim of police misconduct and abuse numerous times throughout my life. But I must say, SVPD is one of the better agencies comparatively speaking.

I thought it was Protect & Serve.... Not Brutality & Misconduct...... In light of recent events hopefully in the future there will be serious changes made to not only policies but who's employed with SVPD.... Just because you wear a badge doesn't mean your allowed to treat people however you want/do whatever you want and traumatize them. I am ashamed at the Sierra Vista Police Department. And I have definitely lost trust in them to protect our community. It's a scary day when you need protection from the police, the very people who are suppose to protect you...

SVPD does not enforce dog leash city ordance. They don't do it even if I called 911. You will see what I mean if you go see Tompkins Park and Cry Park in the city. Many dogs are outside the dog areas are unleashed. I and my wife like city parks but we can't go there in fear of unleashed dogs.
