We live in an apartment complex and a resident below us has left a fan or A/C unit on for the past 8-9 days straight. Because staff assured me 4 days ago there was nothing they could do about the noise, we called the Marana Police Department. Officers came out just to make sure the tenants were okay. Officers confirmed there was no one inside, just a few boxes, no furniture, and no signs of life . Looks like tenants are in the process of moving in, but have left their fan, or A/C on just for the fun of it. Both officers were extremely professional neither demonstrated an ounce of annoyance. Great communication skills, calm, and professional. Although there was nothing they could do for me, I am grateful this major annoyance for me wasn't an irritation to them. Thank you Marana Police department!

Wow. When you work a job where your life is on the line then you can say something as ignorant as these fools. If a cop is ramming you or running u down with their vehicle, chances are you did something to warrant it. Stop disrespecting the people who protect you every day because you're bitter about getting a ticket that you probably deserved. Thank you to the men and women of Marana PD! Your service is greatly appreciated!

I was pulled over for driving too closely to a parked police vehicle along East-bound I-10 in Marana during morning rush hour. There were actually two police vehicles I passed as part of a sting operation (I was later told this by the sargeant when I complained.) set up to nab drivers like me. I am not joking: I switched lanes to the right to get off at the Orange Grove exit and must have passed about one foot behind the front end of the second vehicle for my exit and I got stopped for it. Neither vehicle was running. Neither vehicle had emergency lights on. No officers were outside their respective vehicles. I created no hazzard whatsoever. In court, the officer told the judge that he was parked approximately 200 yards from the exit and I swear it was closer to 20 than 200. In addition to being pulled over, I was rudely treated by the officer and immediately handed a ticket. When I went to the brand new Marana court house facility to have my case heard before a judge, I was given about two minutes to explain my side of the story, the ticket was not reduced in the slightest, and it cost me over $200. Ironically enough, my grandfather was a judge for over 40 years, and I don't believe he would have been at all pleased if I had explained to him what happened. Why? Because there's something called strict enforcement of the letter of the law, and in my humble opinion, the Marana police officer, as well as the judge, went beyond this boundary. It was absurd, and I think my grandfather would have agreed with my assessment of the handling of this incident.
