Story

Born in the foothills of the Wasatch range in Salt Lake City, Utah, Skimo Co is dedicated to finding, testing, and servicing quality ski mountaineering products from around the world. We aim to provide the most comprehensive information and reviews for you to properly equip yourself for safe backcountry pursuits.

Our mission is to enable skiers to safely travel farther and faster when seeking adventure or solace in the mountains.

There is a reason why I tell all my friends who want to get into ski mountaineering to visit.... these guys are the greatest. So knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Eric & Nathan both have stayed past closing time to help me or my friends out....Taking away time from their lives to help out a customer. I feel genuinely cared for when I come into the store. They even bought me coffee and donuts when one of the employees went out to grab lunch. I've never been treated so well by a store in my life. Thanks.... proud to have such an awesome local skimo shop.

Skimo is an excellent resource for backcountry skiing and ski mountaineering products. They've done great research and offer an outstanding variety of brands. Staff are very knowledgeable, and they stand behind the products they sell.

If you want knowledgeable service or advice on high performance ski touring and mountaineering gear, look no further. Staff is knowledgeable, attentive and customer oriented. I would go nowhere else for a tech race mount.

If you're looking for the best place in the Rockies to try and buy BC/Ski-Mo gear than Skimo.co is the best place to shop. Jason and his crew are really knowledgeable in all of their products and their customer service is top notch. I have hard to fit feet and Jason spent a lot of time with me finding the right boot but also educating me on it (I'm pretty new to BC skiing). My wife also bought her gear here and they treated her well and made sure her needs were taken care of.
