Story

Sky Mountain Resort RV Park is nestled in the quiet Village of Chama, New Mexico. We are located just two miles south of downtown Chama and the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Narrow Gauge Railroad on Highway 84.

We feature RV sites along the Rio Chama river with beautiful unobstructed river views, large pull-thru sites (30 x 60 feet) and spacious Tree Canopy sites. ALL 46 SITES have FULL HOOKUPS (50/30/20 amp electric, water and sewer), FREE WiFi @ EVERY SITE, and picnic tables. Fire rings available in Sites 1-26.

We also feature 12 BBQ grills in common areas of the park with two horseshoe pits and a leash-free dog park for both small and large dogs.

We maintain an immaculate infloor-heated bathhouse with hot high pressure showers and handicap accessibility as well as pristine Maytag laundry facility.

Rally groups can enjoy a 20 x 30 enclosed canopy with indoor patio lighting, indoor heating, seating for 48 and a stainless steel BBQ grill, 36” griddle and refrigerator.

Take a nostalgic 64-mile trip on the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Narrow Gauge Railroad built in 1880 and enjoy a feast “fit for a king” in Osier.

Go hiking and explore the abundant wildlife, including elk, deer, beavers, porcupine and the occasional NM black bear. We are also a birders paradise with over 80 species of birds in Chama and its Environs.

Fish the Rio Chama river right at your backdoor or fish El Vado or Heron Lake, just minutes away.

Take a day trip to Santa Fe, Taos, Angel Fire, Eagles Nest, Red River and Farmington in New Mexico or Antonito, Alamosa, South Fork, Wolf Creek Pass, Pagosa Springs and Durango in Colorado. We are centrally located as a “home base” for many RVers who wish to explore both Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado.
