Excellent customer service and unbelievable attention from staff. Most times I am there the manager comes over and introduces himself and asks if he can help me with anything. They always smile and give my children samples throughout the store and at checkout. Once I purchased some expired hot dogs and they literally drove to my house within 20 minutes to drop off unexpired ones, and then gave some free samples and things for my children.  Quite a different experience from the lackluster Whole Foods on Fort Union. This Smith's is at the top of their game in all areas of the grocery store experience. They now carry an impressive line-up of organic and gluten free products to appropriately serve the demographic in this east bench location.  Thank you Smith's on Bengal!

Always friendly personnel!
Today, I am especially thankful for the most beautiful, fresh,
  fragrant, and unique colored roses for St. Valentines Day!
My family grows roses in Calif. for such occasions. These are

My usual grocery store. Great location, a little bit off the beaten path so it doesn't get quite as hectic as other stores I go to. Great selection, and very nice staff. Their "Woo-hoo!" deals are amazing if you are going to be eating the food that night or the next and can really help you save money.

Worst smiths location.  The health department should be here and shut it down. I was shopping in the produce section when a man who decided the "no pets, service animals only" sign did not apply to him and he zipped his dog into his jacket with the dogs head out over the zipper. The disgusting sight of the dog sneezing over the produce next to me made me leave. When I brought it to a manager, they claimed nothing could be done. 
 Recommend never going and the health department sitting there store down.

I usually go in during the morning for a bagel.  They taste good and you can't beat the price of $0.59.
