A month ago my 13 year old son went from CRC to Sonora due to depression and saying suicidal statements. I read all of the terrible reviews and was really nervous about sending him there. I'm so glad I sent him! I really appreciate the care he received there and the way I was treated by staff. I never had a problem getting a hold of them and they were nice during visiting hours. He said the food was good and the beds were comfortable. He is doing much better now and on medicine regularly. I would definitely recommend Sonora!

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! My daughter was here for 8 days and 7 nights. Some of the workers were very rude to her and myself. The staff do not communicate with eachother at all. They cheat you on your visitors time. The dinning hall where you go visit your child is filthy. The unit she was on was filthy. The social worker never called me back after attempting to reach her several times for 3 days. This is supposed to be a safe place but my daughter ended up self harming twice while in their care. Some of the staff made my daughter and all children on her unit stay in their rooms all day. All the doctor wanted to do was dope my kod u0 with all kimds of meds. One day they had no counseling of any kind. It was called a "Free day". And they charge you $1000+ dollars a day if you are self pay. This place did not help her one bit. And she will never go back. Worst place by far!!!

I felt that staff was caring and as helpful as they could be with as many patients they have. Nurses were always on top of everyone's meds. Doctors did the best to get around to all the patients. Thanks to them i finally received the correct diagnosis & continued my care after leaving. Remember it's not just them who needs to help but patients who want it. That is the beginning of the healing.

Sonora Behavioral Health is a travesty of an organization. They are not interested in being thorough with providing care, but just getting through their days. Maybe dealing with difficult medical cases regularly desensitizes you, but these people have made a habit out of it. I would never suggest anyone reach out to this facility for care because you would have no chance of getting it.

My friend went there for 5 days when he got back he told me and showed me he got stiches on his lip. 1 star place sucks.
