I eaten at many other Sophie’s around the city. Spanish food is one of my favorites, especially Cuban food. I visited this location back in early September. When I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by the staff. The restaurant wasn’t too busy so I didn’t have to wait a while to be serviced. I took my food to go however there were customers inside enjoying their meals. There is also an outdoor dining space. The food was really delicious packed with lots of flavor. I only wish this location served the roasted turkey like the one on Fulton Street. I think the Fulton Street location is the only one that serves roasted turkey all the other Sophie’s locations I’ve been to does not serve roasted turkey. I also think the restaurant would save money by asking if the customers want the green sauce instead of just throwing it in the bag. I personally don’t like it and threw it out. The restaurant accepts cash or card. It is accessible via public transportation. It is also located near NYU Hospital on First Ave.
Delicious empanadas and amazing green sauce that reminded us of Indian green chutney. They also have cuban and other sandwiches, salad bar and beverages. Good prices, great taste, nice texture and very friendly staff. Ample indoor and outdoor seating. Quick service as well. They also have a new spicy chicken sandwich along with a few funky options like guava and cheese empanadas.

Food portions are very generous but seriously lacking a lot of flavor. The only reason I was able to finish my meal was because I added a lot of their green sauce. I don't see my self going to any additional locations.Food: 3/5
Came in with the first open this location they switched up the staff bad customer service they don't wear masks they the guy in there was talking while he was making my sandwich over my food which I think was nasty but I didn't say anything usually I would $13 for a sandwich a chicken sandwich plus they menu screen doesn't work
First visit to this nice friendly restaurant, the Cuban sandwich was extraordinarily tasty and the coffee was fresh and delicious. Love the service! Highly recommended !Food: 5/5

I came to pick up my order which was supposed to be ready when I got there, but it wasn't. Once it was ready I grabbed it and headed home. Upon arrival, I realized that some items were missing, so I called the store. The Manager, Armando told me that if I want. I can come back to the store and pick up the missing items15 minute walk, no thanks because they can't refund partial orders. When I said that that wasn't an option, he told me he will need to speak to his boss to see if they can do a partial refund. A few minutes later, I realized that the order that I did recieve was wrong, not only was it missing items, the items that were there, were things I didn't order.. after reaching out again, it was 2 minutes after they 'close' to which Armando said that he isn't even supposed to be doing this, because they are closed already. And once I asked him the name of his boss, he claimed that he is the boss, and there is no one above him.. then he said they would refund me for my order. 10 days later, and I didn't recieve any refund. Terrible customer service, and the manager is a liar..
I've been to several Sophie's locations around in NYC, and while I've mainly focused on their sandwiches, I have filled my hands into other dishes as well. This dish was the last one I had at SCC and it contains moro Cuban mix of rice and black beans, yucca, maduros and pernil. Oof. Delicious. The pernil was tender fatty, and had a great texture to it. The sweet plantains maduros were fantastic. They had crunchy ends to them, and I'm all about that. The rice and beans were delicious, and the yucca, which I've never really been a fan of, was the best I've had in a very long time. This is a great combo plate that'll easily make a delicious option for lunch or dinner.
Bad customer service got charged 20 bucks for this plate and the lady didn’t want to understand what I wanted she did what she wanted and the food is dry and no taste in service and food
