What a beautiful hotel and venue for a wedding! I photographed a wedding here last October and it was amazing. There are so many opportunities for beautiful photographs. The Smoked Filled Suite at Blackstone is probably the best suite that I've photographed at. And let's not forget the ballroom - WOW! What an iconic location for a wedding. Not to mention all of the great places nearby for some outdoor portraits. It is a joy to come here for a wedding and I'm looking forward to photographing another one later this year!
Loved everything about this hotel!! The service mirrors some of the best hotels in NYC, the history was intoxicating, and the posh grandeur rivaled the Peabody, Biltmore, etc. It was super clean, very beautiful, and the service was impeccable. I called to ask if there was a microwave on site that I could warm up something, and they had a bellboy bring one to my room within 5 minutes! The doormen were my favorite... very friendly, but also very professional. What a delight! My favorite hotel in Chicago so far.
Cute boutique hotel. Very nicely decorated for the holidays. The rooms are small but don’t feel it because of super high ceilings. The bathroom was very spacious. The table was extra large with a lot of space. Comfortable bed and pillows. The curtains are full black out.
This is a very fancy and historic hotel. Everywhere from the lobby to the art exhibit is very high end. There’s a fitness center, restaurant, art exhibit, fancy lobby, and mezzanine area. The room itself was clean, spacious, and had a very large bathroom. The prices were also quite reasonable for this high end hotel walking distance from downtown Chicago. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
The room was nice, clean, spacious. Very accommodating. Bathroom was up to standards, spotless! Biggest downfall of this was parking. Self parking was full no other choice but valet parking. When checking out it was ridiculous for valet did not have enough staff to get the vehicles. There were more than 10 people waiting. We waited an hour and half to get our car. Other people had to walk with staff to get their own vehicle out the garage. Only downfall of our stay.
What a beautiful hotel to stay at in downtown Chicago. We were debating with one other hotel that friends had recommended but chose the Blackstone for the price and rewards and genuinely enjoyed our stay! The rooms are very comfortable and quite beautiful. The rest of the hotel was...exquisite! One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed at and definitely one we would stay at again! Nearby activities: Very close to parks, museums, Lake Michigan, and shopping. No shortage of options! Noteworthy details: Gorgeous hotel. Beautiful decor and building design!
I had a lovely staycation at The Blackstone! The check-in process was seamless and I was delighted with a surprise upgrade to a higher floor. The bed was comfortable and I enjoyed the fragrance of the Five Wits toiletries. The room was much more spacious than other rooms I’ve stayed in in that area - which was another nice surprise. I also enjoyed the art of each floor and the QR code on the elevator provided more context of the building’s art and history. There were so many thoughtful touches and upgrades that made the stay even more enjoyable. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
The room was absolutely lovely. Walk in shower. Comfy bed if you like a medium to firm bed, super close to the concert we went to within walking distance. The staff have all been super friendly would definitely stay here againRooms: 5/5
It’s a beautiful old hotel but the restaurant is strange, rarely open 5-10pm and is only tapas. Staff are a mixed group of very nice people and a few rather unhappy employees. One day there was a protest outside about Local 1 union’s need for a contract. I’m hesitant to say much because I don’t know all the details and of course want people to earn a living wage. But overall the place was not enjoyable. We slipped over to the Hilton across the street twice for a cocktail and appetizer. Will definitely be staying elsewhere next time we’re in Chicago.
A gracious and welcoming hotel. Beautiful lobby, great food, accomodating staff, incredible view of the lake if you get a lake view room, walk to the museums. We will come back. We love an old hotel with history. Very well kept. They don't make hotels like this anymore.Rooms: 5/5
