I was not impressed. We sat in the emergency room for close to 4 hours. There were people there before us who were still sitting there after 4 hours. We ended up leaving. The waiting room was not full. I am not sure what the issue was, but I definitely will not be going back.

Absolutely No Urgency in the ER, by far the worse place to go if you are in pain and suffering in discomfort. I'll drive to Lansing with a heart attack before I go back to saint Johns ER.

Staff is great! Everyone within every position was super sweet and had a wonderful bedside manner.

Manager ordered staff to make 90 year old grandma sit in lobby or take a bus home (IN HER GOWN) for an hour waiting for ride. No, they will not let her wait in bed the 45 minutes it will take you to get a car. Staff offered to  help load her up into your truck (even though no way to get her out of truck).Thankfully, knowing a key manager brought special treatment and she was allowed to wait in bed.  STILL in her slippers and gown upon arrival. Just had to load her into car, then back through her apartment complex.

I have nothing but great things to say about their ER staff. McLaren and Sparrow in Lansing were backed up, and husband was choking to death and neither place took it seriously since they get people who think coughs deserve a trip to ER. I made the decision to pull him from Sparrow Lansing and drove all the way to Sparrow Clinton where there was no wait... they immediately called a surgeon, and my husband was taken care of VERY well by Dr. Garrett, Dr. Flermoen, and their team. I'm actually sending cards to each of the surgery staff to thank them for coming in to help... we're so grateful.
