The facilities are great and the staff was exceptionally professional. My only gripe was that when they found 2 blood clots in my ankle no one would say anything to me except that I was being rushed to the ER. This made the ordeal very scary for me. I'd like to give a HUGE shoutout to my nurse AK in the ER. She was the first person to calm me down and talk to me about the clots and she definitely had my sense of humor which really calmed me down. Thank you AK.

Most money hungry hospital, I've ever stayed at! My doctor back home gave me the choice of going to Chelsea or fight for Medicaid. I wish I would have fought for Medicaid, it would have been cheaper. They said since I came there voluntarily and it wasn't 'medically necessary' they couldn't help me financially. I didn't have a choice because no other hospital in the US could treat my migraines. I went into this hospital telling them that I was a nineteen year-old unemployed college student that couldn't afford huge medical debt. The finical adviser who came to my hospital room said I nothing to worry about my insurance will cover it. That was a blatant lie, if I had known how badly they treat their patients after their hospital stay, I would have never gone there. The debt collection agency has nicer employees than any of St. Joseph's finical advisers. They already gotten $25,000 out of me and my insurance yet thy're greedy enough to call me three times a week about the remaining $2,000.

Ended up getting an appendectomy here. Everyone from the front desk to each individual that took care of me was friendly, helpful and caring. The building is so clean and comfortable too. Highly recommend.

I was at St Joseph's mercy hospital and had the worst customer.er service experience of my life. I was there for a patient that was under going surgery. She was moved to the ER due to complications. Nothing wrong with the hospital itself but the customer service of this hospital is incredibly rude. Not only were we threatened but the security officer but he himself was very hostile. Luckily the Sargent Alexander was understanding and listened to the problem. For me I would never pick this hospital. We were told that the patient requested information that she did not and they regulated everything down to who or how many people could be with the patient. If I need something done the u of m is where it's at I'll never darken that doorway.

Examined our 20 month old Granddaughter after a fall off a porch with her cousin, diagnosed as "full body contusion", xray'd her chest & abdomen only. Totally missing the broken clavicle that was VERY OBVIOUS on Xray's that were done PROPERLY days later, if they had even touched the area, they would have known there was something VERY VERY WRONG. This is not their 1st completely missed diagnosis in our family nor incorrect treatement, however IT WILL BE THEIR LAST! They were a great facility until they became a part of St.Joe's. You don't mess with peoples health like that!~
