The room was very nice. All of the employees were helpful and kind. They had an indoor pool and hot tub but the pool was too cold for swimming and the hot tub was out of order, which we were not informed of. Continental breakfast was great. Overall was a fantastic stay!

We stayed two nights here while visiting family. It's always nice to have a "suite" in lieu of a standard room--there's just more room to spread out! Our room was nice and comfortable. I'm the early riser of the group, so I used the couch/sleeper sofa as my reading nook so as to not wake the others. Our room could use a refresh from a mattress & bedding standpoint--the mattress was fair (don't expect a pillowtop here) and the linens were cheap.
The hotel is located in a great area, close to the Mall. A convenience store is within walking distance and multiple food options are close as well. The complimentary breakfast was okay. Lots of carb options--muffins, bagels, oatmeal. Hot "eggs" are included as well as yogurt & instant grits.
The staff were very pleasant and professional. We would stay here again.

For the past several years ( 3-5+ years) I have booked approximately a week stay at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Charlotte Concord Mills / Speedway for my handicap mother to visit me for the Christmas Holiday. She has stayed in room 103 every single time, because it is a walk-in shower with handicap accessible.
This year was by far the worst year and I as a Gold Rewards Member was EXTREMELY dissatisfied with the service from the hotel staff as well as Marriott customer care. I was also extremely disappointed in the Hotel Renovations for the handicap accessible room.
1. I have always over the last 3-5+ years gone into the hotel itself (SpringHill Suites) and reserved the room. I have done this to ensure that I get the same handicap room for my handicap mother. There has always been someone to great me at the front desk every year, except this year. I had to wait 15 minutes at the front desk for someone to come and assist me. There was no one there, and this was during normal business hours meaning prior to 9pm EST. I discovered the front desk person coming off of the elevator.
2. The day of check-in, Thursday, December 21, 2017 I had to wait 15+ minutes for someone to come to the front desk to do the check-in. This was around the 430pm EST time frame. While the young lady was very nice to me, I have never had to stand at a front desk of a hotel waiting for help because no one was there.
3. The closet door on the newly developed room was broken and just swung open. It was not on the rail at the top to slide open. This is a safety concern, especially in a room that is supposed to be for handicap accessible people.
4. There was no luggage Rack to hold suit-cases in the room. I asked the front desk personnel and they stated it was a new Marriott initiative to not have luggage racks in the rooms any more. This is extremely disappointing, especially from a handicap perspective. Why has Marriott started an initiative to remove luggage racks from the room? If this is not the initiative, then why is the front desk personnel telling this to the customers.
5. The light switch to turn off the light beside the bed had been moved away from the bed. This means that a handicap person must get out of bed and turn off the light and then hope to climb back in bed safely. Very disappointing from a handicap perspective.
6. The shower used to have a shower head that fit on a rail that slid up and down for handicap accessible people. The rail was there, but the shower head was moved to a standard shower head and no longer handicap worthy. Very disappointing. I asked the front desk about this and they stated that it would have to be the next morning before anyone could address this issue for me.
My handicap mother and I were very disappointed in the way that we were treated. In light of this, I cancelled this reservation immediately and requested that my credit card be refunded immediately. This sparked a whole new issue for me and enlightened me, that there is no formal process for these types of issues at a hotel.

We got a good deal on a king bedroom using Priceline. Hotel was clean, convenient to restaurants, and staff was very nice to deal with. I was very pleased with our stay here.

First time staying in a SpringHill Suites in 10 years. I'm typically a Hilton overnighter, but this was a nice stay. I'd definitely stay again!!
