What an outstanding night and experience. I had been to Decanter at St Regis before, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The bartenders were excellent. Extremely personable and knowledgeable about their large selection of Whiskey. As much as I enjoyed my time at the bar, it wasn't until my wife and I enjoyed a birthday dinner there. I can honestly say, that those were two of the tastiest steaks we've had in recent years. So much so, that we would find ourselves talking about it for days. Similar to the bar staff, our server was friendly, thorough with every food item or empty plate, but also did a great job of giving us our privacy to enjoy our time there. If you haven't been, put St Regis on your to-do list.

This is one of the prettiest restaurants in DC. Definitely a hidden gem, with amazing dishes. The wine list is also very good. Even with all of these amazing qualities Decanter was not even half way booked on a Saturday evening. If you're looking to excite your pallet and dine in style. This place is for you, very romantic
