Stafford Hills Club is a private wellness, fitness, tennis and aquatics club located on Nyberg Ln. in Tualatin, Oregon.

Story

Stafford Hills Club began as a simple idea – that like-minded people wanted and needed a family-friendly place to gather to stay active, have fun and make new friends.

So local community leaders Jim and Marla Zupancic spent years listening to community members, personal trainers and club owners, as well as traveling across the globe to learn how to successfully build a great club community.

After years of due diligence they brought together an incredibly talented team of seasoned professionals to create a very special community – Stafford Hills Club. It is much more than a place of activity or even a club – it is a community of friends who enjoy participating together in an active, healthier way of living.

I've been going to SHC for a year and a half. Best classes, instructors, staff, equipment, pool, locker room, food and beverages. The place is top quality and I couldn't imagine going to any other gym. They communicate efficiently (text, email, posted notices) so I always know what is up. Great place for families or those without children. Top notch all the way! Bonus - they have built additional parking on the west side of the building which is awesome because the lack of parking used to be an issue.

Stafford Hills is a wonderful facility! The salt water pool is amazing during the summer, great classes, really nice tennis facility, and family friendly. We have been very happy with the club.

Wonderful facility. Saltwater pool, no chlorine! Heated and comfortable. Large number of great classes and readily available swim lanes. Lovin it summer and winter!

I am very disappointed in Stafford Hills community relations. They continue to treat the adjacent neighborhood with disregard. They allow their members and guests to use our neighborhood as a parking lot. When I voiced my concern was not apologized to, but instead met with confrontation from their employee. Your bylaws are not to park in our neighborhood, and you need to make all efforts to insure this does not happen. Perhaps you need a shuttle service or mandatory valet during peak hours, but don't yell at a neighbor because you are breaking your contract with the city.

I cannot say enough good things about Stafford Hills Club. I have been a member of many gyms throughout my life and this one is by far my favorite. Before I used to always hate going to the gym, now I hate the times I don’t get to go to the gym, or with SHC a full-service club! After busting-out my shoulder in MMA I had to find a place that had everything I needed to rehab my shoulder and get me back into fighting shape. I was tirelessly searching for a way to afford daily access to a lap pool, yoga, quality strength and cardio machines and workout classes. As I was wrestling with the option of spending two hundred plus dollars a month and going to three different establishments to get all that I needed, I would longingly drive by the club near my home wishing I made about 10k more a year. Late at night just before closing I would even drive into the front parking area and grab glimpses of the heated outdoor pool and just watch the beautiful blue steam play against the pool lights, then slyly drive on and out the parking area again. I’m ashamed to say I waited months before making contact with Stafford Hills Club's amazing membership team, just assuming there was no way I could afford a place as magnificent as this. I quickly scheduled a tour, crunched the numbers and it was actually cheaper than all my other options and I got everything I needed and more, and without having to go to three different places. Best decisions I have ever made! Two years later I’m still a member and still can’t believe I belong to such an amazing club. I love swimming in the heated, saline lap pool. I’ve actually gotten so spoiled I have no interest swimming in any other pools now. The pool is also a great place to lounge around on a hot day and in the summer they have poolside drink and food service (and did I mention wine and beer for the adults). The pool and pool area is very kid friendly and they even have lifeguards on busier days for the kids safety! The establishment does a really nice job of making the pool area accommodate both people looking to play in the pool and people looking to lap swim/workout. Adults and kids happily coexisting in a pool… that does not always happen. There are very courteous signs asking people to shower before entering the pool and to wait ten minutes after applying sunscreen before going in. I swim in the pool 2-5 times a week and I have never noticed an issue with the people or pool being dirty. A little sunscreeny in the summer, yes, but that has since dissipated with the new ten minute plan. Seriously, it’s like five star resort style cleanliness and accommodations at SHC. Yoga classes and Barre classes are phenomenal, Zumba and U-Jam classes are a super fun way to burn calories, cycling and core classes are still on my to-do list, but they are raved about by my fellow workoutees who have taken them. Also the gym equipment is the nice TechnoGym line and is always well maintained. They have some nice specialized machines that other gyms don’t usually have, and I have never had to wait to use anything here. On the few mornings that have multiple classes and events going on and the parking lot gets full, the club provides complimentary valet service. The café and smoothie bar is amazing as well. They can charge it right to your account too so you don’t have to go retrieve your wallet out of the locker room. Locker rooms in main building have steam and sauna rooms, private showers, and customizable code lockers in case you forgot your lock. There is also an in-house Spa and Salon at SHC, I now get my haircut after Zumba and have been known to slip in for a 60 minute massage after yoga! Seriously this place is amazing!
