We looked at a Saturn Outlook on the lot but didn't make a decision til 2 days later, by then it was gone. We bought an Acadia which was newer and more money. I am telling you this because they are in the business of selling cars not playing nursemaid to the buyers. Marcus was great to us. I wanted an extended warranty but they don't have them, I found out the air conditioning had a leak after we bought the car and went back and told them. They told me to bring it in and fixed it even giving me a loaner. We bought the car as is and they didn't have to fix it but they did.

Standard Motor is not a place to buy a car from. They over price their cars. The cars they sell are most likely all broken, and they are not friendly. Strongly recommend NOT every walking onto their lot or buying a car from them.

I don't normally do this kind of thing, but I felt this time I just had to. The first week in January of 2015 I went into Standard Motors because I saw a Cadillac that I've had my eye on for quite some time. Although I've yet to buy the vehicle because of financial things I've got to do first, I wanted to let whoever reads this know that if you should visit these folks talk to Marcus. Not only was he the most personable salesperson I've ever run across in all my years of being a consumer, but he helped me in -23 degree weather. He never made me feel like a tire-kicker, even after I told him that I needed to make further financial arrangements. He explained all my options to me regarding financing, showed me the NADA value of the vehicle (basically showing me that the vehicle was selling below the actual value), and informed me that if the car weren't here when I came back that he would extend me the same courtesies on any vehicle I choose. I felt like I were talking to a family member. I wish it were like this everywhere I went. There just isn't enough excellent customer service left any more. I highly recommend Marcus from Standard Motors.

I am a local business owner in Rock Springs, WY and I was interested in buying a used vehicle from this dealer. I went to the dealership and was looking at a  2007 Lexus IS250 with approximately 21,000 miles. I told the sales representative that I had a vehicle that I may be interested in trading for it but it was at home... I asked to test drive the Lexus and he had to move some other vehicle before he could get it out so I went home to get my other car. When I came back the car was gone on a "test-drive" with another customer. So I proceeded to stand in the lobby for about 35 minutes until they came back when I was told that I needed to wait to see if the other customer, whom I arrived ahead of, was going to buy this vehicle. So I proceeded to stand in the lobby another 25-30 minutes until they asked me if I could just come back tomorrow and see if it was still there. I am not going to draw any conclusions as to why I was pushed to the back of the line however, what they did was extremely unprofessional and I would never recommend buying any vehicle from them.
