TERRIBLE!!!!! I HAVE SHOPPED AT STEIN MART FOR MANY YEARS, LOCATED IN WILLIAMSBURG AND HAVE ALWAYS HAD GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE STORE WAS ALWAYS VERY WELL ORGANIZED. IF YOU COULD NOT FIND YOUR SIZE THERE WAS ALWAYS A FRIENDLY EMPLOYEE WILLING TO HELP YOU LOOK OR CALL ANOTHER STORE FOR YOU IF THEY COULDN'T FIND WHAT YOU WERE LOOKING FOR... WELL THE NEWPORT NEWS STORE IS THE ABSOLUTE OPPOSITE!!!! I WALK IN AT 8PM THERE WERE 3 LADIES WHO WERE JUST STANDING AROUND THE CASH REGISTERS DOUNG ABSOULTY NOTHING BUT TALKING TO EACHOTHER, NEVER ONCE WAS I GREETED EVEN AFTER I SPOKE SAYING " WELL GOOD EVENING LADIES" I KNOW YOU ALL CLOSE AT 9PM BUT I REALLY WANT TO FIND A SHIRT THAT I SEEN ADVERTISED.. STILL NOT 1 WORD FROM NONE OF THEM!! I WENT ON ABOUT MY SHOPPING WGEN I DID NOT SEE A CART I SAID DO YOU ALL STILL HAVE CARTS? ONE LADY SPOKE UP VERT UNFRIENDLY AN POINTED OVER THERE UNDER THE MANICAN WITH THE 3 PIECE SUIT.. I FELT VERY UNWANTED WHILE SHOPPING AND THEY WERE SURE TO BE VERY LOUD SPEAKING TO EACHOTHER. I HEARD ONE SAY SHOULD I DO THE 30 MINUTE ANNOUNCEMENT NOW? WITH LOTS OF GIGGLING THEY SAID YES!! BTW IT WAS ONLY 8:22PM AT THE TIME THEY DID THAT ANNOUNCEMENT.. I AM SO DISGUSTED WITH THE WAY I WAS TREATED THAT I WILL NEVER WALK BACK THROUGH THEM DOORS! I CAN NOT BELIEVE THE SERVICE I HAD AT SUCH A HIGH END STORE. I WOULD HAVE BEEN TREATED BETTER AT A THRIFT STORE. AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF I HAD A SHIRT AND NEEDED ANOTHER SIZE SO I ASK THE LADY WHO COME INTO FITTING ROOM WHILE I WAS TRYING ON IF SHE HAD A MOMENT TO JUST GET ME THAT SIZE AND MEET ME AT THE REGISTER, WHAT A JOKE, WITHIN 60 SECONDS SHE HOLLERS INTO FITTING ROOM NO WE DON'T. I WALK UP TO THE REGISTER AGAINST MY BETTER JUDGEMENT TO PURCHASE WHAT FIT AND IT IS 10 MINS TIL CLOSING, I GET THE FOLLOWING QUESTION ASK. WOULD YOU LIKE TO PUT THIS ON HOLD TIL TOMORROW? REALLY!!! NO WHY WOULD I?? THE STAFF AT THIS LOCATION NEED TO BE WORKING ELSEWHERE FORSURE OR NEED TO BE TRAINED IN RETAIL. VERY UPSET CUSTOMER HERE TO SAY THE LEAST 😯 I CERTAINLY HOPE THIS MESSAGE GETS TO THE PROPER PERSON AND SOMETHING CHANGES AT THIS LOCATION BEFORE IT ENDS UP GETTING SHUT DOWN... I'M IN DISBELIEF WITH THIS SITUATION!!!

I had never been in a Stein Mart before. I love it, bought some pretty wine glasses, a couch pillow and a nice sweater. Store if very neat and clean and I like that. Great prices

It's an expensive TJ Max mainly women's clothes and shoes and random junk kohl's is better. Don't waster your time
