The reviews about the hosts are true. The Camp Host is aggressive. We drove by to see some sites that had availability for an upcoming weekend. The entrance was blocked with a red truck and we drove around, looked for someone in the guard shack to let them know we were just going to look at a site or two. No one was there so we pressed on. I know the rules but there was no one there. Well, the Camp Host chased us down ( in her red truck) and admonished us for not checking in. When I mentioned the entrance was blocked, she said, "that's how we do it here." Say what? I'm sure the Corps of Engineers DO NOT tell her to block the entrance during daily business hours with a full size pick up truck. Looks like this person is making her own set of rules. I obeyed and did not proceed further but decided to leave the park as I was not feeling as if this was a welcoming place for my family. My suggestion, find another COE Campground to stay in.

We used to live in this area and came to this park several times. It is beautiful and quiet yet close to several towns. I have not experienced anything negative with the front office but we haven't been here in about 3 yrs. In fact we broke down yesterday and had a tow truck tow us to the campground we got here late like 9:30 pm the gentlemen up front was very kind and let us check in. Only been here one night out 2 weeks. But how much do you deal with the front desk anyway. This is an awesome campground..

We visited this Corps of Engineers Park on beautiful Lake Lanier, and love it. It is beautiful and the park workkampers do an excellent job of managing the facilities. We would love it if there were more available sites for large recreational vehicles. We can't say enough about the helpfulness of the people who are in the office all day and stay until 10 pm every night.

They have some nice campsites. I'm leaving my rating based on the campsite we just stayed at. The grounds were fine, so they Merritt 3 stars. We had a site on the lake and the beach was disgusting, filled with rocks and thick deep mud. Multiple kids got stuck in mud up to their waisted. May have been because of the water level, but it was a 3-star experience.

Not a Bad Campground except that you have to drive quite the distance to get wood. I guess on Weekends there is a Local that sells it for 10 bucks (10 pieces) not too far away from the Grounds but during the week they don't put any out. Also you have to drive into town to get ice. Lets not forget about there is no alcohol aloud at this park and you are locked in/out between 10:30PM and 7:00AM
