I was dreading taking my teenage daughter car shopping. Cheap used cars can be scary.I am so glad I found Sunset Auto. They had a good selection of great vehicles under $5000. We actually fell in love with 2 of them so I bought them both ( since I also have a 15 year old that will start driving soon). All of their vehicles come with a 3 day exchange period and 90 day warranty. It has now been 4 months and both cars have been great. We did read the KSL ad and scheduled an appointment (I really don't understand why others complain about scheduling an appointment). Lorena gave us her full attention when we showed up and was very patient with my indecisive daughter. I have since referred a couple of neighbors that needed cheap dependable cars for their kids. Keep up the good work Sunset Auto. Also, I loved the Christian music you had playing in the lobby.

Unbelievably rude and car-ignorant people work here. Total scam artists. Do not go here! I went in today to inquire about a 03 suburban. First of all, I did not realize they only did showing by appointment. For a place as run down as Sunset, you would think they would be open to walk in business, but fair enough. I had cash in hand, and was ready to buy. The lady was very condescending, saying that her current appointment had not arrived yet, but if they did she would have to lock up the truck and throw me out. When I sat in the car to begin checking over everything, she told me with a snotty voice that I was not allowed to turn the engine on until she ran it and warmed up the oil. BIG RED FLAG. They seem to have a business model around buying cars with blown motors and hiding it from people. When I told her that was a problem, she arrogantly said I could give the keys back. So I did. I don't put up with rude employees, especially ones who try to cheat me. Luckily I was smarter (not saying much, believe me) than this ill mannered woman, so I handed back the keys and started to leave. I informed her that she just lost an easy sale. She had to try to get one last shot at me though, saying to my girlfriend that I should "google about warming up engine oil before testing". This woman was completely ignorant, and obviously has the intelligence of a 3rd grader and the car knowledge of a rock. I repeat, do not go here! Instead, I went up to Utah Used Auto Sales that day and got a much better Z71 Suburban. Congrats Sunset, you are staffed by complete idiots. ----------------------------- Edit--------------------- See how the Sunset employee wigged out on the response to being exposed? She fears it being known that she sells lemons. Don't fall for her lies, read all the other reviews for further proof of what I say. This dimwitted and car-ignorant woman will try to cheat people and hide the problems by limiting how you test an vehicle. CHECKING A COLD ENGINE DOES NOT HARM ANYTHING IF IT ISN'T BROKEN! End of discussion! This is an obvious trick. Anyone with rudimentary car knowledge will tell you this. Run far, far away from this low IQ dealer and her scams!

I bought a 2008 F-150 truck. I bought it cause it looked clean, not a lot of miles for the year. But most importantly because of the "Power Train Warranty" . Which is supposed to cover the engine, transmission and 4 wheel drive. Just under 3k miles my motor threw a piston. Their so called warranty only covers 1K. What good is a warranty for 1 grand when a new motor costs 5-8 thousand. They are liars and crooks. Not to mention the broken leaf springs that were broke when I bought it. They did pay for that only after I threatened legal action.

Zero stars if I could. My first red flag should've been the fact that they insist on coming on the test drive with you. They literally let us drive it around the block. That was all. Wouldn't allow us to drive it on the freeway. Within 2 days, the turbo went out. We also had to replace the mass air flow sensor. Tried multiple times for them to get this taken care of. All they did was recommend a mechanic and give us their price on replacement parts for the car. They had to have known the car didn't work in the beginning. The mechanic basically confirmed that they had to know it wasn't working when they sold it to us. Did I mention that this was for my 17-year-old son? Who has now been stranded multiple times on the freeway because this car dies regularly. I would never recommend this place to anyone. In fact, I tell anyone who will listen to never purchase from here. UPDATE: I find it very fascinating that there is an answer for everything expect that this is a shady dealership. My son installing his own car stereo has nothing to do with the check engine light coming on. Did I mention that it was installed with a mechanic (my brother-in-law) right next to him? But it was a nice try to deflect the blame. Also, the check engine light came on the day after we purchased it. You should check your call records. And I'm aware it was purchased in 2017, I just figured it was about time that I called you out on your horrible dealership and warn any potential buyers to be ware. I also find it fascinating that when you "call" the mechanic, its definitely something that needed to be reprogrammed, but that's not what my invoice says. I would be happy to post a copy. And post the email where he states that, basically, the dealership had to have known that the car had problems before it was sold. Maybe you should spend more time checking into the cars you sell and less time calling your reviewers liars. Burying the truth in your twisted details isn't helping your case any.

Great prices, customer service and of course vehicles. Highly recommend to everyone. They do work by appointment, which was weird to me at first, but that turned out to be a blessing. With an appointment the attention is all yours, no sales person juggling between customers. I drove off in my new car 42 minutes after my appointment.
