You get what you pay for. I’m not unfamiliar or afraid of inner city urban life, you will see homeless delusional people walking down the streets which shouldn’t be surprising. It’s downtown Oakland ! So if you’re looking for some thing fancy I suggest going couple blocks down and staying at the Marriott or in San Francisco. This is the perfect hotel if you’re on a tight budget. Place is old but clean. I suggest paying extra to get a bathtub in your room instead of sharing bathrooms which are located out in the halls. My room came with a microwave and mini fridge which was cool cause I wasn’t expecting it. There’s a corner store  right next to it and a Walgreens at a 3 minute walking distance which was helpful. And Bart station right across the street too ! Over all, I felt safe and glad I was able to find a cheap hotel I could crash in on such short notice. 5 stars for me.

Dollars is what you get. Expect the worst and you wont be disapointed. Staff was great besides a couple of them. I stayed 3 nights as a young traveler and lived. Area is upcoming and the hotel is trying there best.

The hotel looked nice, but it wasn't great. When we asked the people at the front desk if they had bed bugs or any other insects, they said no. But a few minutes after we lied down, my family began to get bit by bed bugs. It got so bad that they had to go sleep in the car.

This hotel is only up and running to be a place you consider because you cant find anything or the price might be more in your range. I typically only got the room so I can be closer to my job in Oakland so I didn't have to wake up as early to get there I live in Hayward and HONESTLY I wish I didn't waste my money. They sheets had dried blood stains on it, their chairs that was in the rooms was super filthy to the fact if I sat on them I used the clothes I wore the day before to cover it because I know I will be washing them. They bathroom was SUPER outdated to the fact you had to pick an option of shower or bath just for they hot water not to work and the water doesn't hold for long. The Customer Services from all shifts don't be fooled they smile be polite but don't ask them for no extra blankets or nothing because you will never see it.

If you are rude and pushy before you say hi then you should pay me. If I’m paying then it’s better to be nice.
