Brought 2 plates of fried shrimp to our table with all the shells still on under the batter mashed potatoes are instant dry and tasted like soap and bologna. Customer service sucked about the mistakes. I encountered several other issues at the tables around us, as they were out of a certain dish but would take it upon themselves to cook something totally different and serve it to customers instead of letting them know so they could order something else. All around bad experience. I do not plan on returning. I love local but this place give local a messy name. Maybe that rat that fell out of the ceiling is the same rat that works in the kitchen....

The best thing about what I ordered is that it was hot. I'm really on the fence about the food. Maybe it's because I ordered meatloaf. I have just never seen meatloaf that looks so gray. It was swimming in gravy and tough-very hard to chew. I'm used to meatloaf having onions and/or peppers and I couldn't tell if that was in the slices. However, the flavor wasn't bad. I felt like I was chewing pieces of cartilage along with the meat. (Maybe an inexpensive cut of beef.) The mashed potatoes didn't taste like any butter was added and they were too stiff. (Not enough milk, cream, butter, it something.) The macaroni and cheese was also hard. This was my first time eating here and I'm not sure if I'll risk it again, since my meatloaf lunch was $17.21. You would think they would have a lunch menu. The people were very friendly. I just don't think at this cost I'll do it again.

Being from the south this is exactly where I go when I need to get a fix of great southern food. My favorite dish is the cornbread. The staff is great but I will say that this place is usually busy so you want to plan if you're going here.

Food tasted bad and my yams looked like cranberry sauce instead of yams. My smothered pork chops didn't taste that good and it was still pink in the inside the Mac n cheese look dry and not enough cheese on it just a waste of my money and time and when I call to complain they didn't pick up the phone
