Someone very closed to me was there so many times and Is a horrible place i understand this kids make mistake but is not fair they get threat it worse then trash and instead of helping them the stuff makes then worse how they get treat ot doesn't help at all . They say the juvenile will get rehabilitated but they dont cus the same people that suppose to help them put them down and make them do bad . So sad

I know this place to be dirty, has poor housing for teens, and damn do them kids need better hygiene and better food.

I was one of the million kids in here. I visited this place 14 times I'm my juvenile life but I don't regret none of it. back in the 90s it was very different. in the late 90s it was changing, I mean realy changing. I was there my last time for one year and 3 months so long that I was eating Domino's pizza and QueRicos burritos. I was one of the first to have money in here. next thing you know the staff would allow us to fight each other in a room. and the probation system was and still is very corrupted. Mr Roby Robinson and Prieto was a few names. I was detained by Roby for having sex with a minor but it was false plus I was only 15 years old and my lady was 16 so they dismissed everything. he's a fn liar.  I'm good living my life but Sylmar Juvenile Hall took my entire teenage life away from me. they say that your responsible for your own mistakes but this place sets you up for mistakes and no matter what you will always lose.
