I have taken pets here for about a year. Very friendly staff, sort of pricey but maybe vet care in Iowa City is--this is only the second place I've gone for pet care, both dogs and cat, so I don't have too much insight on how prices compare. Cheryl Zimmerman is my vet and she's very knowledgeable and doesn't try to sell you on things you don't necessarily need

We felt so much better informed after getting our second opinion from doctors at Tender Care. Will switch vets and use Tender Care for all future veterinarian needs.

Dr. Hinson was our main vet and she is fantastic. My dog was always nervous to go to the vet, but he would always calm down when he saw her. She is very knowledgeable, and obviously loves animals. My dog had a long illness and both doctors were great about following up to check on him. When he deteriorated so quickly at the end, they got us in right away and were extremely compassionate. All of the staff were friendly and professional throughout the years there. I would highly recommend.

Dr. Cheryl and Dr. Hinsman are both wonderful to work with, as are their staff. I've been going to them with my two dogs, and have felt supported and well cared for. Highly recommend Tender Care
