Story

Tenuta’s Italian Restaurant in Paddock Lake and Kenosha, WI was founded by Annunziato Tenuta in 1995 after working for his parents Cesare and Antonia Tenuta for years when they moved from the southern tip of Italy to America. Bringing with them a wealth of great homemade recipes and ideas, the Tenutas decided to share their passion for quality food with the great people of Wisconsin so Annunziato opened Tenuta’s Italian Restaurant in Paddock Lake and Kenosha. In 2010,Dan Tenuta, brother of Annunziato took over the restaurant.

Hands down the best Calzone I've ever had, and I grew up in Chicago! Flakey crust, like a puffed pastry instead of a pizza folded in half. Made me forget how much I loved their bread too! Our server, Lisa, obviously loves working here. I thought she was an owner or family! Do glad I found this place!

To start off... Nobody in Kenosha has food that even compares to Tenutas. It's literally and honestly my family's favorite (except Chinese food, because they don't do Chinese). As far as their service... Tonight, my 9 year old daughter went missing. I live in a small community on the outskirts of Pleasant Prairie. The entire community mobilized to search for her. There was a delivery driver from Tenutas out in our community on a delivery. He heard what was going on and he joined the search. Upon seeing that I'm handicapped and can't walk, he took me around the entire area in his van, letting me yell for her as he drove. No charge, just a desire to help a father find his little girl. She ended up being in a house in the area he took me to. It tuned out to be a place that has been known for being... shady. It was late, my daughter had been missing for hours, the entire Pleasant Prairie police dept was searching for her.... These people had no intention of sending her home until they had the police surrounding their house. My little girl is safe. The driver, Scott... His instincts were spot on. She was in the house right in the area he took me to. I didn't get out and go up to the house until the police were there with me. Scott from Tenutas, if you read this... Thank you. Tenutas... this guy deserves a bonus.

We went there for a surprise dinner for 15 of our family members..they were awesome and the food was wonderful
