So much lost history in this little town. I wish they made all this learning mandatory in the TC schools. I grew up here and left with so much knowledge. They talk lots about the Texas City disaster. I feel there were so many parts of the museum about this disaster and it seemed a little disorganized. My kids loved the hands on parts with oil drilling and dinosaurs long ago. Would love a little more info about the Karankawa natives. Surely there is much more to this little town and I hope the citizens can help build upon this little museum. The local chemical plants should shell out some dough to aid the place. It is a great start. Very affordable too. Wish 6th street can look like old 6th street again.

Very well done museum for a smaller city. Well documented history of the city. Friendly staff. Really cool model railroad display upstairs on Saturdays.
