Story

In Manhattan in 1965, there was no place where people could go out to meet friends and make new ones in an environment that was at once both relaxed and yet exciting. Then, Alan Stillman opened Fridays as a way, he said, “to meet Pan Am stewardesses.” Suddenly, there was a place with great food, new and exciting drinks and an electric energy. A place where bartenders mixed the environment just as well as they mixed drinks. In short, a place like nowhere else. Today, Fridays in Metairie, LA is still America’s most iconic bar and grill. We embrace and celebrate our heritage as a bar. One that just happens to serve killer food in an environment where it’s always Friday.

Do not eat here! We were on vacation when we decided to eat here because we do not have one at home. The first time we went it was on a Saturday around 8:30 pm. From the time we got there till the time we got our food was 2 hours. We decided to try it again on Monday, thinking we would get better service on a Monday. We waited for about 10 minutes at the hostess stand before anyone acknowledged that we were there. We were wanting to order the Jack Daniel's flat iron steak. First they said they did not have any Jack Daniel's sauce and then they informed us that they didn't have any flat irons either. This is by far the worst service at a restaurant that I have ever been to!!!!

I ordered a Jack Daniel burger well done and got a burger that had lots of pink in it. I also ordered a pasta dish called shrimp and chicken that was full of butter like really swimming in butter. I also ordered a kids meal chicken stripes the strips were very hard. The waiter replace my burger and brought it out as a to go and didn't know if I was eating there or taking it out. There was a fight with a staff member and customer and the whole staff ran to the front lobby. I was over chaged.They charge 2 times for the burger. Just no staff training.

By far the worst restaurant experience ever! My party waited 2 hours for appetizers that we never received. After several failed attempts to speak with the manager, my party decided we would pay for our drinks and take our business elsewhere. After realizing that we were leaving, the manager then attempted to charge us for food that we never received. He then proceeded to call the cops. The manager is rude and a liar. The assistant manager is useless as well.

Food-wise, this is your typical TGI Fridays. I don't think I have ever been here when its been crowded, or even busy. Its very dark inside and a bit dreary. The bathrooms are very small and not kept up too well. The parking is pretty atrocious if you don't snag one of the few spots in the front. Seating in the bar area is more pleasant than the dining room area.

The queso spinach dip was DELICIOUS! Bianca the serving engineer was awesome! What drives me to return to businesses is great customer service... and the service was grand. I met a few upper management as well which is always a plus in my book.
