There is really nothing that tells the real truth about African Americans. Which is what the museum is called. There is no African American. There is american and there is Africans. .period. museum is a bust. Not worth a penny to visit. Years ago they had authentic stuff. Was taken out due being to graphic. Seriously. It was the truth what they showed.

I've been to several African American museums in my travels, mainly in large cities, but I really expected more from the one in Philadelphia. After going to a few of the other museums which are right down the block, I expected this one to be of similar quality, as there's so much to share in relation to the black experience both nationally, and right here in Philly. Yes, there were a few really neat displays which were ingenious & fantastic, but to charge the same price as the other larger, more engaging museums in the area...? For that particular experience, which was also significantly shorter in duration, I feel it should have been maybe $7 or $8 , but not $14....Otherwise, the actors portraying various people on the video screens were great!

This museum really sucked. Not much here at all , maybe they'll add some things at a later date. I wouldn't waste your money ..for real, But they did have a restroom.

First time there ,I thought it would have been more to see, and educate my children on . Most things there were about African American people out of Philadelphia, which was a shock, thought it would be about people all over

I had a great time there on my last visit. The have a exhibit that has actors broadcasted on screens. It blew me away. I recommend that anyone visiting or living in Philly take the time to come here.
