Great tasty burgers. All condiments are serve yourself style which is great for picky eaters and kids. Draft root beer with chilled glasses is a nice treat. Chicken fingers had a good breading but chicken cut quality could be slightly improved. Food is cooked in front of you in line so nothing to hide. Must visit type place.

Really unique coal grilled burgers. This was one of the first burger places I've tried in Tempe and I keep going back for more. The Torpedo is absolutely delicious, and I'd recommend trying hot sauce on it. You add your own toppings, and the burger is smoky and juicy. Only thing is I would recommend going somewhere else if you want fries or onion rings. Their fries are pretty good, but they're pretty expensive for how few you get.

The Chuckbox NEVER disappoints! Best burgers in Phoenix/Tempe. I make it a point to come here whenever I'm in town! Love the food, the guys behind the grill and even the atmosphere.

Grilled open flamed unfrozen fresh burgers. They also have fake burgers(vegetarian). Fries are pretty decent. Take cash, they do have a ATM machine but it charges you a fee.

The Chuckbox is an old Tempe treasure. If you're going for looks, this is not for you! People that go here are ASU students, and people who have gone for over30 years. The decor is real old west, (you sit on sections of wood stumps at old kitchen tables), old tin roof, quaint, real open fire grilling of hamburgers, chicken over coals of wood. You watch them grill it!Have fries, zucchini fries and onion rings and drinks. While the menu is limited, the food is great. My husband has been going for over 40 yrs. Best hamburgers!
