Heard great things from our client, Brandon Maddox about this Hawthorne Inn. Brandon is constantly touring, which means he stays in a lot of hotels and gave us strong reviews. The staff made Brandon feel at home from check in to check out. Helpful, professional and always in a good mood they were great to work with. The Hawthorne Inn's breakfast had everything our client was hoping for. The Bayberry Bistro is also open for lunch and has dinner and drink specials as well. Brandon wasn't on a golf trip, but noticed the Hawthorne has golf packages (close to many courses). Walking distance to the downtown area, the location is terrific (always good to give the car a rest when you've been traveling a lot). The entire property was kept clean and the room was quiet. All in all, it was the perfect fit for our client.

I will never stay here again. Customer service is horrible. Didn't get any sleep because apparently water is used to heat the hotel and WE HEARD IT RUNNING THROUGH PIPES IN THE CEILING FROM 2AM TO 7AM and then about every 45 minutes until we checked out. Called to see if we could get a later check out since we got no sleep, but the employee was rude and didn't care to try to make the situation right at all. I'll happily spend my money elsewhere.

I love it! First time in town because of having to get things done at hospital but this is probably by far the best hotel in town. Huge bed, clean, they have a restaurant so you don't have to run around town , warm, and overall just a great place to stay. If I need to stay overnight again, will be coming here. They give room discount if you have to go to hospital which helps if you don't have alot.

This is our go to inn for Winston-Salem. We are almost always in town for medical reasons and the medical discount is a great help. The rooms are clean and well furnished. The staff is helpful and attentive. Do not leave without enjoying the lunch buffet in the dining on days it's available.

The beds are very comfortable, the showers hot with good pressure. Karen, at the front desk, was very nice and quick. It is relatively close to downtown so in good weather you can walk. I had to extend my stay by a night and they made it very easy and so I could stay in the room I was already in.
