We had a wonderful stay at the Holland Hotel.  We needed a place to stay so we could get into NYC.  It is only a short walk to the PATH train.  You can go through the mall if the weather isn’t cooperating or take a direct path that gives you a nice view of the skyline. We enjoyed the breakfast immensely!  The croissants are super flaky and there were many healthy and not so healthy but sweet and tasty choices.  Add on a great hot shower, soft bed, and free parking and we not only left satisfied but very impressed!

This hotel is a surprise gem!  Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful.  It is an older hotel so the rooms are on the small side.  The rooms are clean and comfortable.  It is in an excellent location for trips to NYC, and for exploring Jersey City.  Jersey City's historic downtown is within walking distance - and worth the walk for a great selection of restaurants, Cafe's and the Word bookstore.  It is within walking distance to Newport and Grove Street PATH stations, and to Newport Mall.

The hotel is OK, a good choice for the $$. The staff is attentive, good security, parking in back, easy walk to a lot of places.

The room was ground level facing the road so traffic noise woke me up. It was a little musty smelling. Decor is dated but clean. Small bathroom with standing shower only and no iron for clothes. 

I’d definitely stay here again but it is what it is, a functional place to rest and shower.

Awesome hotel! Great distance from the city! Located near cheap fast food resturants! Their breakfast is worth it alone!
