Home Depot deserves to go out of business to Amazon. After placing a $600 dollar order for blinds -that was supposed to take 3 weeks to arrive- we waited a month. We called them on the phone and they said, "Sorry it's on back order and will take 5 months!" It was weird they never called us to let us know that... I went into the store the next day to ask for my money back and after complaining to the manager they gave me a $75 Discount with a click of a button, but said there was nothing they could do about the 5 month delay because of a complete 'lack of materials'. An hour later the manager I spoke with in-person called my wife and said, "I'm sorry, we actually forgot to send the measurements to the supplier! The good new is that now that I submitted them, the blinds will arrive significantly faster."..... Remember this problem did not come to light until after we had called someone on the phone and spoken with a manager in-person. At this point I am thinking to myself, "Is this even real life? Did sending the measurements to the supplier magically help solve the materials problems too???? Would we ever have received the blinds if we didn't complain to them in the first place???? I then called the manager who said, and I quote, "We no longer have your order on file." Needless to say this isn't really the best way to inspire confidence in a customer who already believes that Home Depots employees are absolutely incompetent nor does it help build up the trust level that has already been shattered. The real kicker here is that after a 47 minute phone call (most of which was on hold) I had to pressure the manager to even tell me when -if ever- the blinds would make it to my house. His response, "I have expedited the process and it will take anywhere from 14-28 days." THAT'S NOT EXPEDITED, THAT IS THE EXACT TIME I WAS PROMISED WHEN I FIRST PURCHASED THE BLINDS A MONTH AGO!!! Oh but its not over yet. The manager then committed to cancel the order AFTER hanging up the phone - like I was going to take his word for it. I had to force the manager to stay on the phone with me until I could verify my money had been returned and a confirmation email was received. After being put again on yet another hold the manager came on and had the audacity to tell me that a refund to my card can't be made unless they see the card on-site, even though I watched the manager give me a refund in person without asking for my card just two hours prior AND he has just promised he would do it after hanging up. Quite literally every promise Home Depot made was verifiable as a bold face lie. I now have no order for blinds and no money, plus I have to drive in a third time for a service that was supposed to be delivered to my house.

There were 10 people in line at the self checkout and only one regular register open at the far end with 2 giant orders. They need to be more reactive to the flow of traffic at the front end. There were 5 or 6 employees by the return desk so they weren't under staffed. I usually get better service when I go to other Home Depots.

My experience at the Home Depot in Cottonwoods Heights was very enjoyable. Everyone we're so helpful. When it came to loading they were helping and waiting. Very pleased.

The check out area was under staffed . One of the four self checkouts was not working. The lone cashier was over whelmed. No other check out lanes were open. You need to do much better.

Garden center was unattended with front entrance locked making it hard to shop for plants. Otherwise Home Depot is always great.
