The five institutions that make up the Journey Museum are:
The Museum of Geology on the campus of the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology; South Dakota Historical Society's Archeology Research Center; US Department of Interior, Indian Arts and Craft Board's Sioux Indian Museum; Minnilusa Historical Association; and The City of Rapid City Duhamel Plains Indian Artifact Collection

We ended up going there because a snow storm that stranded us in Rapid city. The staff was friendly and very helpful. There was plenty hands on exhibits for little ones, the exhibits were all very intresting and relevant to the area. I was very impressed and enjoyed the Native American history part of the exhibits and displays it was respectful and well presented. It was a true depiction of our amazing people and there struggles. It was well worth 10 bucks. Thank you

This was a fun place to visit. The staff was knowledgeable and accommodating. I enjoyed the materials were targeted for people of all ages, and my favorite part was the 'pit' for kids to dig for artifacts. They were bunged to the ground. Looked like fun. We liked that the admission let us in for 2 days, so we could enjoy a show in the theatre.

A lot of history here. Friendly staff. It was worth the visit. They even have sections that little ones would like.

Wonderful facility. Just there for a meeting this time, but hope to return in near future to fully explore.

Great place for kids to learn and explore! I would definitely recommend stopping there l. $10 allows you to visit 2 days. There was so much great history to see! There are things for kids to see and feel.
