Story

The Dinosaur Museum is located adjacent to Reptile Gardens at 8973 S Highway 16 in Rapid City, South Dakota. Inside the dinosaur exhibit, you will see over 98 ancient reptiles from more than 65 species, learn more in our educational movies theatre, have the opportunity to make your way through our famous mirror maze, and even try your hand at digging for fossils!

We offer a picnic tables for any special event and are happy to help with any special requests. For booking information please call us directly.

A really great experience if you have a dinosaur lover in the family. At 10$/person, it could be expensive for a larger family. But my daughter loved the exhibit and the mirror maze, and the putt putt golf. I think it's acceptable for the price because you see the exhibit, do the mirror maze, play putt putt and watch a movie. My daughter and her friends went back and forth to all the activities a few times, so that was nice. The staff is very friendly, interact well with children and handle mass chaos well. *** Sidenote: Due to the echo-y affects of the building, when there are a lot of people in there, it can become overwhelming for anyone with sensory issues, just be aware if that applies to you or your child.

Pretty cool twist on dinosaurs in an area with lots of exhibits. They have a mix of heads and full size models of dinosaurs instead of the fossils and fossil replicas. Placards had lots on information as well.

It was kind of hokey and cheap-looking, but the life-size dinosaurs were cool. Mini golf was included with admission. It was $35-$36 for one adult and two kids. The place is not worth the price.

The lifesize displays are just the heads of dinosaurs not the entire dinosaur. Pretty misleading.

Pretty cool little spot! Mirror maze was pretty fun and the kids enjoyed Mini golf!! Definetly visiting again!!
