Farm to table. Great atmosphere, next to the river.  Food quality was solid and flavorful. An interesting menu with a big variety given a one page menu.  Service was a bit sluggish, drinks took a long time to come, waited 10 minutes for the plates to be cleared and the check to be presented. I would recommend and expect to go back.

Hands down the most exceptional dining experience in Chicago. Marvelous, attentive front of the house. Our server left no desire unfulfilled. The head chef has prepared a wonderful assortment of hand crafted appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The wine and spirits selection was extensive and designed to pair with the menu. The best meal we have had in a long time!

This is my absolute favorite place to eat in Chicago! The food is sustainable, farm to table, and best of all, offers ethically sourced meat! They get their meat, including grass-fed beef, from purveyors that humanely raise the animals, and the resulting flavor of their dishes in truly superior to anything else we've tried in the city! The bolognese never disappoints and all of the steak dishes are going to melt in your mouth. If you're looking for lighter fare, the risotto is top notch. There are always cocktails of the day, and my sweet tooth adores the Persian Lemon. For something aromatic and satisfying you'll likely find something new and enticing on their daily menu. Do yourself a favor and start with the cheese board. Treat yourself with quality!

The service was absolutely terrible. We arrived at 630 at our reservation time. They stated at this time to go to the bar because they didn’t have a table for us right away. After ordering a drink from the bar (bar service was excellent) we were told after 40 minutes that our table was ready. This table sat empty the entire time we were at the bar. After VERY poor service for our dinner we mostly enjoyed our food. We were only able to order one drink because the waiter never asked us how the food was or if we wanted another drink. After our meal the manager stopped by and asked us how everything was going and we expresssed our concerns. He comped is a bottle of champagne between the 8 of us. A kind gesture but not at all redeeming the over all experience. We were charged for things we didn’t order at the bill. Food was good and kind gesture of a small glass of champagne but still. Would never come back.

My husband and I came here on our joint birthday trip (perks of January & February birthdays) and it was wonderful! The food was great - I had the steak and he had the salmon. We had a water view and it was gorgeous, especially during the incoming snow! The ambiance was great, our service was too. We'll definitely come back on our next Chicago excursion!
