Story

The Old Spaghetti Factory is a family owned and operated restaurant founded in Portland, Oregon in 1969 by Guss and Sally Dussin. Dedicated to satisfying dining in warm surroundings, The Old Spaghetti Factory is located in famous Trolley Square, an energetic blend of shopping, dining and history. The square is housed in renovated trolley car barns built by railroad magnate E.H. Harriman. Nearby you can find Temple Square, center of the Mormon Church and home of the famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir. The surrounding Wasatch mountain range provides four seasons of outdoor activities including seven world class ski resorts within forty-five minutes of downtown Salt Lake City.

I am not a big fan of cheese…but man the food out here is so yummy. Our dinner came with a free cup of minestrone soup. Food was amazing and the soup was mind blowing. I think for first time I had all the vegetables in it. I like the interiors of the restaurant. Its very antique and old fashion which is cool. This is now added as our family restaurant to-go list.

Very fun! Server was knowledgeable. Drinks were fun. Food was good, but you go for the atmosphere. Fast.

Haven't even received my food yet and can already tell you I'm no impressed. They should focus more on their service and less on their swag. It took them forever to seat is and it wasn't that really that busy. My mother was sitting in a wheelchair and they saw her waiting and tried to seat is upstairs. After sitting down we didn't see it server and had to ask. We also didn't receive bread or water until we had to ask another server. When the food did arrive it was good. This may have been the last chance for them.

Friendly, warm atmosphere. All meals come with soup or salad, bread, and a scoop of Italian ice cream. It is a good amount of food, but the quality isn’t quite what I was expecting for the price. I’d definitely come back simply for the experience, but if you’re looking for great pasta, this isn’t your place.

Stopped here for dinner before going out to a new years eve party and wow, the service was amazing. Our waiter Kevin was so on top of things, got our drinks and orders super fast, was really awesome and friendly. Haven't had service that good in a while!
