Laid back bar with live music. Went to see some punk and instrumental rock. The bands were good but the crowd was sparse. The upstairs bar tender was really nice and helpful with beer selections. The mural in the downstairs is pretty awesome. Food-wise, definitely try the pickles rolled in pretzels and deep fried. So good! They make homemade donut holes - i'd love to try those too!

I'm going to pile-on to the highly positive reviews of this golden nugget of a neighborhood haunt. The food is amazing! It was obvious before Dan told us that they're using fresh, never-frozen meats. Their veggies are crisp-fresh. And their beer selection is "inspired". My husband and I went in expecting a character-rich dive bar and found one of our new DC favorites.

What is not to like about this place. From comedy shows to poker night. It is the best. Plus the food is bomb.

If you are near this place and don't stop in for an order of donut holes, then you are missing out on one of the most amazing things you'll ever put in your mouth.

Your typical punk rock dive bar and it looks like it. But surprising good & different food. Great murals downstairs too.
