Booked for anniversary to get away fro the kids for romantic getaway . Room was small couldn’t find thermostat or light switches ( hidden behind headboard) had to open window to cool off room. One tiny tiny table fit alarm clock and two glasses that’s about all that would fit on it. No microwave. Bathroom was best and most spacious part of room, but never got to enjoy it. Hallway lights were alway off had to search in the dark for it to get out front door. Stairs were totally vertical wood slippery and dangerous since it was a rainy day . Returned from a romantic dinner and opened a bottle of wine too celebrate. Turn on music decided to relive our first romantic encounter only to have pounding on our door with threats of crazy person outside our door ( remember we our in our fifty’s and it was ten o’clock) Figured it was room next door and ignored only to get call from owner telling us to leave. Do we pack our things apologized for any inconvenience to the people if we offended anyone, but what is a hotel stay for if not to have s romantic encounter. Not everyone is just looking for a place to sleep. Here we thought we would do this once a month to keep our relationship exiting.( NOT HERE!!) Can’t recommend and will never stay again. Never had this kind of problem before.

Came into town for a wedding reception at Warehouse 109. What a wonderful stay!! Beautiful room, phenomenal bedding and I can't stop talking about the AMAZING blueberry muffins in the morning!! YUM!! Perfect location smack dab downtown and walking distance from everything. We will definitely stay here again!

Poor facility. Rude treatment by family owned staff. Walls far too thin to be considered an inn of any standard. Stairs too steep for safety. Room , I 've stayed in European rooms that were larger and more efficient.

Traveled to Plainfield with my daughter for a college visit nearby. We traveled through bad weather and got in late. It was a wonderful retreat from the storm. The bed was very comfortable and the linens top notch. We had our own priviate bathroom - which was beautiful - subway tile and large shower. Everything was very clean. I chose the smallest suite available because we weren't going to be there long . . . but it was more than enough for what we needed. My daughter was surprised by the blueberry muffins in the morning - she said "Mom how did they know these are my favorites". Also the Keurig was a nice touch too! I wish the weather was better and we would have had more time to enjoy - the room and the town.

I only stayed on a Sunday night. I arrived after dark and had a hard time finding the place because the sign was not lit. The front door was locked and I had trouble getting in, so I stood there for a few minutes knocking and looking for a doorbell. They had texted me the entry code a little earlier, but I didn't see the text, and anyway I couldn't see the keypad in the dark. A man finally came to the door and let me in, then hustled me upstairs. He didn't introduce himself, so I thought he was another guest; he was the owner. There is no den or breakfast area to lounge in, only a small room. There was a fridge in my room and one in the hallway. Both had free water bottles and a selection of coffee and tea you can brew in one of those single-brew coffee makers. There were also fresh fruit and muffins in the hallway. It's a small, well-restored old place with wooden floors. There are only three bedrooms, all three are upstairs, with a steep narrow stairway up to them. My room was small but very clean and beautifully restored. The queen size bed, which took up most of the room, had a firm but soft mattress, clean new sheets, four pillows, and a super-cozy down comforter. The bathroom was beautiful and looked new. It had modern hardware but kept the old historic feel with old-style fixtures and tile. One sink, no tub, large shower. The inn is located in a beautifully restored historic district. It's a great value but don't expect to sit around chatting with the innkeepers. You're just getting a nice, cozy room.
