Great atmosphere. Terrible service & incredibly impolite staff...they mark empty tables as reserved to make the place appear more desired than it is. Make a reservation before going.

Great views and drinks, but slightly overpriced. Staff dressed really strange and trying to be too cool, bordering obnoxious. Recommend the old fashioned. Worth a drink before dinner

Great place to watch sunset with a couple of drinks and small bites. Not too expensive considering the service and view.

The Top of the Standard is a posh penthouse lounge located on the 18th floor of the Standard Hotel in the Meatpacking District. Two things: Beautiful interior design and classy atmosphere: - Plenty of comfortable seating with the spectacular 360-degree views of the city. - Interior design was classy, open, and airy. Though there were a lot of people at the bar it didn't feel claustrophobic at all. - Dim yellow lighting gives the room a warmth. - Very friendly crowd. You will find yourself conversing with at least one person at the bar. Last time, my friends and I chatted with a couple who sat right next to us at the bar. - Tea in the afternoon or live jazz in the evening Good drinks and food: - Speciality and creative cocktails (I don't know the exact names off the top of my head but see the pictures below). They were amazing. The place also has a wide selection of wines and champagnes. - Had some delicious snacks to accompany the cocktails: Frites with bearnaise sauce, vegetable chips, and burgers. Frites were perfectly crisp. The combination of Bearnaise sauce and Frites was exceptional. - They also had Bon Chon Korean fried chicken. I didn't have it but it should be very good as well. The only downside is that the lounge closes early at 9 pm.
